José Miguel Cáceres
José Miguel Cáceres Gómez (born December 24, 1981, in Tamayo) is a men's volleyball player from the Dominican Republic, who won a bronze medal with the men's national team at the 2008 Pan American Cup in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Career Cáceres won the "Most Valuable Player" at the 2004 Distrito Nacional Superior Tournament in Dominican Republic, helping Bameso to win the 19th Championship, defeating Los Prados in the 7th game of the final series. Playing at the 2005 NORCECA Championship, his team finished in 4th place, and he was selected "Best spiker". At the Dominican Republic Sport Gala of 2008 Cáceres was awarded "Volleyball Player of the Year". He then played with Distrito Nacional, to help them win the 2010 season Dominican Republic Volleyball League championship. Cáceres signed the Spanish club CAI Voleibol Teruel for the 2010–2011 season, joining countrymate Víctor Batista. Tamayo is a city and a municipality in the Baoruco Province, Baoruco Provinces of the Dominican Republic, province of the Dominican Republic. Víctor Arístides Batista Lemos (born October 2, 1979, in Tamayo) is a male volleyball player from the Dominican Republic, who won the bronze medal with the men's national team at the 2008 Pan American Cup in Winnipeg, Manitoba. He play as wing spiker. Career Playing with Bameso, he won two times the ''2004 and 2005 USA Open Volleyball Championship'', being awarded MVP and All-Tournament both times. Víctor studied in Brigham Young University, majoring in Leisure Services Management. With the BYU Cougar's he won the 2004 NCAA National Collegiate Championship playing as a middle blocker, and winning the 2003-2004 VCA All-America Second Team, 2004-2005 All-MPSF Second Team and Asics/Volleyball Magazine and All-American Second Team, and finally 2005-2006 All-MPSF Honorable Mention; finishing with a .378 career hitting percentage, fourth in BYU history. The Indios de Mayagüez (Mayagüez Indians) are a baseball team in Puerto Rico's Liga de Béisbol Profesional Roberto Clemente (Roberto Clemente Professional Baseball League, in Spanish). The North, Central America and Caribbean Volleyball Confederation (NORCECA) is the international governing body for the sports of volleyball in Northern America, Central America, and the Caribbean. NORCECA is the continental confederation that represents its 35 member associations at the International Volleyball Federation (FIVB) level. It also has six associate members: Bonaire, Saba, Saint Martin, Sint Eustatius, Sint Maarten, and the Turks and Caicos Islands.
