José Hazim Frappier
José Emeterio Hazim Frappier (born 19 February 1951) is a physician, academician and politician from the Dominican Republic. He was the 2004 Social Christian Reformist Party candidate for Vice President of the Dominican Republic and Senator for the province of San Pedro de Macorís from 1994 to 2006. Hazim was Interim president of his party during the illness of the late Carlos Morales Troncoso. The coat of arms of the Dominican Republic features a shield in similarly quartered colors as the flag, supported by a bay laurel branch (left) and a palm frond (right); above the shield, a blue ribbon displays the national motto: ''Dios, Patria, Libertad'' (God, Homeland, Liberty). San Pedro de Macorís is a city and Municipalities of the Dominican Republic, municipality (''municipio'') in the Dominican Republic and the capital of the San Pedro de Macorís Province, San Pedro de Macorís province in the east region of the country; it is among the 10 largest cities of the Dominican Republic.
