José Escalante
José Alberto Escalante Rápalo (born 29 May 1995) is a Honduran footballer who plays as a midfielder for Honduran Liga Nacional club Motagua, on loan from Canadian Premier League club Cavalry FC. Club career Olimpia Escalante began his career with Olimpia, spending time on loan with Honduran side Honduras Progreso in 2014 and American United Soccer League side Rio Grande Valley FC Toros in 2016. On 3 August 2016, Escalante joined Houston Dynamo on loan from Rio Grande Valley until the end of the 2016 season, returning to the Dynamo on 20 January 2017 on a 12-month loan deal from Olympia. Juticalpa On 7 January 2019, Escalante returned to Honduras and signed with Juticalpa. That year, he made eleven appearances in the Clausura. Cavalry Football Club, is a Canadian professional soccer club based in the Calgary metropolitan region of Alberta. 2016 USL Season
The 2016 USL season was the sixth season of the United Soccer League and the twenty-second season of USSF sanctioned Division III play organized by the United Soccer Leagues. On August 6, 2015, the league announced that the season would consist of 30 games rather than 28 games played from 2013–2015. This was the first increase in the number of games since the league went from 24 games per season in 2012 to 28 games in 2013. The league expanded from 24 to 29 teams in 2016. Six franchises were officially announced by the league: Swope Park Rangers, Orlando City B, Rio Grande Valley FC, FC Cincinnati, Bethlehem Steel FC, and San Antonio FC. The Austin Aztex were on hiatus for the 2016 season, due to stadium availability issues, but planned to return in 2017 pending construction of a new, soccer-specific stadium. The 2014–15 Honduran Liga Nacional season was the 49th Honduran Liga Nacional edition, since its establishment in 1965. For this season, the system format remained the same as the previous season. The tournament began on 1 August 2014 and has ended in May 2015. On 20 December 2014, C.D. Motagua obtained its 13th national title after defeating C.D. Club Deportivo Honduras Progreso (commonly referred to as Honduras Progreso or simply Honduras), is a Honduran football club based in El Progreso, Honduras. It was founded in 1965 and currently plays in the Honduran Liga Nacional. History Club Deportivo Honduras The club was founded in 1965 under the name ''Club Deportivo Honduras'' and is one of the League's founding clubs. They were in top flight football until 1969 where they finished last and were relegated to Segunda División (''Second Division''), and soon after dissolved. Honduras Progreso After many years of absence in Honduran professional football, the club was brought back as Club Deportivo Honduras Progreso in 2011. The 2015 FIFA U-20 World Cup was the twentieth edition of the FIFA U-20 World Cup since its inception in 1977 as the FIFA World Youth Championship. The 2015 CONCACAF Under-20 Championship was an association football tournament that took place from 9 to 24 January 2015 in Jamaica. The 2014 Central American and Caribbean Games football tournament is scheduled to be the 20th edition of the competition at the 21st edition of the Central American and Caribbean Games. It will be the first CAC Games football competition to take since 2006 due to the cancellation of the 2010 edition. Although the competition is considered to be an under-21 age group competition, up to three players born before 1 January 1993 may be named in the squad.
