Jostein Helge Bernhardsen
Jostein Helge Bernhardsen (born 18 June 1945) is a Norwegian diplomat. He started working for the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 1973 and was head of department in the ministry from 1995 to 2001. He was the Norwegian ambassador to Ukraine from 2001 to 2006 and to Belgium from 2006 to 2011. Bernhardsen was named a Knight 1st class of the Royal Norwegian Order of Merit in 2002. Arne Jostein Ingebrethsen
Arne Jostein Ingebrethsen (9 July 1903 – 7 January 1945) was a Norwegian newspaper editor who was killed during the occupation of Norway by Nazi Germany. His father Ingolf Ingebrethsen was a long-time editor of the newspaper '' Flekkefjordsposten''. After the German invasion of Norway, the newspaper showed an uncooperative attitude towards the authorities. For an article printed on 1 August 1940, Arne Jostein Ingebrethsen was arrested and was incarcerated at Møllergata 19 from 12 August to 14 October 1940. His father backed down as editor, and Ingebrethsen served as editor from 1941 to 1943. He was arrested again in 1943, and was imprisoned at Møllergata 19 from 14 July to 6 August, and then in Grini concentration camp until 13 November. He was then shipped to concentration camps on the European continent. He spent time in Natzweiler-Struthof, Mauthausen and Melk, and died here in January 1945. Jostein Pedersen (born 11 August 1959 in Dønna) is a Norway, Norwegian musical journalist and reporter, television commentator and "music intelligencia". He was the Norwegian commentator to the Eurovision Song Contest in 1994, and from 1996 to 2006. Since then he has covered the Song Contest on ''Verdens Gang, VG''s web TV channel. Jostein Nyhamar (23 September 1922 – 30 July 1993) was a Norwegian magazine editor, biographer and politician for the Labour Party. Jostein Nyhamar was born in Nedre Eiker. He edited the weekly magazine ''Aktuell'' from 1959 to 1974, and '' Forbrukerrapporten'' from 1974 to 1986. He has written a biography of Einar Gerhardsen as well as volume six of the series ''Arbeiderbevegelsens historie i Norge'', which covers the history of the Norwegian labour movement from 1965 to 1990. He also chaired Bærum Labour Party. He died on 30 July 1993 in Bærum. Jostein Nerbøvik (10 July 1938 – 18 March 2004) was a Norwegian historian. He was born in Volda, and took his cand.philol. degree at the University of Oslo. He first worked at Telemark University College, then at Volda University College. He was appointed professor there in 1993, having taken the dr.philos. degree and the University of Trondheim with the thesis ''Bygdefolkets krisehjelp 1925–35''. The opponents at the dispute were Tore Pryser and Hans Fredrik Dahl. Nerbøvik was also instrumental in establishing the Ivar Aasen Centre. In 1973 Nerbøvik published his most well-known book; the general overview ''Norsk historie 1870–1905''. It was later remade into ''Norsk historie 1860–1914. Fredrik Jostein Løfsgaard (21 September 1923 – 27 May 2011) was a Norwegian academic executive. He was born in Flisa as a son of Kari and Arne Løfsgaard. He finished his secondary education in 1944 and graduated from university with the cand.jur. degree in 1949. He was a secretary at the Norwegian College of Agriculture and ''Norges Tannlegehøgskole'' before being hired as faculty secretary at the University of Oslo. He advanced via the positions of questor (financial executive) and secretary to being assistant university director from 1969. From 1987 to 1988 he served as university director. He was then a special adviser until his retirement in 1993. Jostein Hasselgård
Jostein Hasselgård (born 24 March 1979) is a Norwegian singer. He was the winner of Norway's national pre-selection for the Eurovision Song Contest and he won Norway a fourth place in the finals of the Eurovision Song Contest 2003 with the ballad " I'm Not Afraid To Move On". He started to play the piano when he was six years old and has trained in several musical genres. Following his achievement in 2003 Hasselgård sang at various concerts in the southeastern part of Norway. Jostein Berntsen (born 5 February 1943) is a Norwegian politician for the Labour Party. He was born in Rennebu as a son of smallholder Bjarne Kolbjørn Berntsen (1908–1980) and husmor Klara Halgunset (1911–1992). He worked as an agronomist and farmer. He was active in the Norwegian Farmers and Smallholders Union and the Norwegian Heart and Lung Patient Organisation. He was a member of Rennebu municipal council from 1971 to 1977. He chaired the local party chapter from 1971 to 1977. He was elected to the Parliament of Norway from Sør-Trøndelag in 1977, and was re-elected on two occasions. Jostein Grindhaug (born 20 February 1973) is a Norwegian football coach and former player. Hailing from Åkrehamn, he spent most of his active career with FK Haugesund. Playing career He started his career in Åkra IL, and was signed by then-second tier club Djerv 1919 in 1990. Djerv 1919 were relegated in 1993, Grindhaug crucially missing a penalty kick in the last match of the season. Djerv 1919 then merged to form the new team FK Haugesund. Grindhaug had the honor of scoring the first league goal for the new club, and the club eventually found its way to the Norwegian Premier League, making its debut season in 1997. Grindhaug played regularly until the summer of 1998, when his career was halted due to knee injuries. Following five operations, he returned to football in the winter of 1999–2000.
