Joshua James is an American singer-songwriter based out of American Fork, Utah, and Lincoln, Nebraska. His original digital release of ''The Sun is Always Brighter'' on iTunes reached No. 1 on the service's Folk Album list in 2007 and sold in excess of 25,000 copies by the end of 2008. The album caught the attention of the indie folk scene, with ''Paste Magazine'' naming him one of their "Next 25 Artists You Need To Know" in their September 2008 issue. NPR cited James in one of their "Song of the Day" publishings. They featured his "The New Love Song". Joshua James (November 22, 1826March 19, 1902) was an American sea captain (nautical), captain and a United States Life-Saving Service, U.S. Life–Saving Station keeper. He was a famous and celebrated commander of civilian life-saving crews in the 19th century, credited with saving over 500 lives from the age of about 15 when he first associated himself with the Massachusetts Humane Society until his death at the age of 75 while on duty with the United States Life–Saving Service. During his lifetime he was honored with the highest medals of the Humane Society and the United States. Josh James is an American entrepreneur, founder and former CEO of Domo, a software-as-a-service (SaaS) company. He also previously co-founded and served as CEO of Omniture, a web analytics company. Career James attended Brigham Young University into his senior year, but did not graduate. Before co-founding Omniture, James co-founded an interactive agency and two other businesses, which were subsequently sold to WebMediaBrands (formerly known as Jupitermedia) and Verisign. James founded Silicon Slopes, a private-sector initiative that promotes the interests of the high-tech industry in Utah. James took Omniture public on the Nasdaq in 2006. Joshua James (born March 8, 1993) is an American professional baseball pitcher who is a free agent. He played college baseball at Barry University and Western Oklahoma State College before being drafted by the Houston Astros in the 34th round of the 2014 Major League Baseball draft. He made his major league debut in 2018 and is best known for his fastball, which has reached 102 miles per hour.
