Josh Wall
Joshua Michael Wall (born January 21, 1987) is an American former professional baseball pitcher. He was drafted by the Los Angeles Dodgers in the 2nd round of the 2005 MLB Draft out of Central Private School (Central, Louisiana), Central Private School in Central, Louisiana, where he was a second team High School All-American. He has played in MLB for the Dodgers and Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim. Career Los Angeles Dodgers With the Dodgers organization, he played in the rookie leagues in 2005 and 2006 and spent the next four seasons (2007–2010) in Class-A with the Great Lakes Loons and Inland Empire 66ers of San Bernardino. After being used exclusively as a starting pitcher for his first six seasons in the system, in 2011 he was switched to the bullpen and promoted to the AA Chattanooga Lookouts, where he was 4–5 with a 3.93 ERA in 51 games. In baseball and softball, a relief pitcher or reliever is a pitcher who enters the game after the starting pitcher is removed because of fatigue (medical), fatigue, ineffectiveness, injury, or ejection (sports), ejection, or for other strategic reasons, such as inclement weather delays or pinch hitter substitutions. Triple-A (baseball)
Triple-A (officially Class AAA) has been the highest level of play in Minor League Baseball in the United States since 1946. Currently, two sports league, leagues operate at the Triple-A level, the International League (IL) and the Pacific Coast League (PCL). There are 30 teams, one per each Major League Baseball (MLB) franchise, with 20 in the IL and 10 in the PCL. Triple-A teams are generally located in smaller cities as well as larger metropolitan areas without MLB teams, such as Austin, Texas, Austin, Jacksonville, Florida, Jacksonville, Columbus, Ohio, Columbus, and Indianapolis. The Atlantic League of Professional Baseball (ALPB) is a professional independent baseball league based in the United States. It is an official MLB Partner League based in the Mid-Atlantic and Southeastern United States. The Atlantic League's corporate headquarters is located at Clipper Magazine Stadium in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. The Atlantic League operates in cities not served by Major League Baseball (MLB) or Minor League Baseball (MiLB) teams; most of its teams are within suburbs and exurbs too close to other teams in the organized baseball system to have minor league franchises of their own. The Lancaster Barnstormers (colloquially known as the Stormers) are an American professional baseball team based in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. Ángel Luis Sánchez (born November 28, 1989) is a Dominican professional baseball pitcher in the San Diego Padres organization. He previously played in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the Pittsburgh Pirates and the KBO League for the SK Wyverns. Steven C. Ames (born March 15, 1988) is an American former professional baseball relief pitcher. Career Los Angeles Dodgers Ames was drafted by the Los Angeles Dodgers in the 17th round of the 2009 MLB Draft out of Gonzaga University. He began his career with the Ogden Raptors in 2009, with a 2.10 ERA in 17 appearances. In 2010 with the Great Lakes Loons of the Midwest League he had a 2.54 ERA in 23 games with 16 saves.
