Josh Simpson (Australian Footballer)
Josh Simpson (born 9 February 1994) is an Australian rules footballer who played for the Fremantle Football Club in the Australian Football League (AFL). Football career Originally from the small town of Yalgoo in the Murchison region of Western Australia, he represented West Australia at the 2012 AFL Under 18 Championships. He was drafted to with their first selection (number 17 overall) in the 2012 AFL Draft. The East Fremantle Football Club, nicknamed the Sharks, is an Australian rules football club playing in the West Australian Football League (WAFL) and WAFL Women's (WAFLW). The team's home ground is East Fremantle Oval. East Fremantle are the most successful club in WAFL history, winning 29 premierships since their entry into the competition in 1898. 2014 AFL Season
The 2014 AFL season was the 118th season of the Australian Football League (AFL), the highest level senior Australian rules football competition in Australia, which was known as the Victorian Football League until 1989. The season featured eighteen clubs, ran from 14 March until 27 September, and comprised a 22-game home-and-away season followed by a finals series featuring the top eight clubs.
