Josh Schertz
Josh Schertz is an American basketball coach who is the current head coach of the Indiana State Sycamores men's basketball team. Coaching career Schertz's coaching career began as a student assistant with Florida Atlantic for the 1999–2000 season. He'd then move on to Lynn, where he was an assistant for two seasons before a two-year assistant coaching stop at Queens University in North Carolina. In 2003, Schertz would follow Queens' head coach Bart Lundy to High Point where he'd stay until 2008 when he accepted the head coaching position at Lincoln Memorial. In his 13 years coaching the Railsplitters posted 11-straight 20-win seasons, including four 30-win seasons en route to 10 NCAA Division II men's basketball tournament appearances. 2023 College Basketball Invitational
The 2023 College Basketball Invitational (CBI) was a single-elimination, fully- bracketed men's college basketball postseason tournament featuring 16 National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division I teams not selected to participate in the NCAA Division I men's basketball tournament or the National Invitation Tournament (NIT). The 15th edition of the tournament began on March 18 and concluded on March 22. All games were played at Ocean Center in Daytona Beach, Florida. Semifinal and championship games aired on ESPN2. 2022–23 Indiana State Sycamores Men's Basketball Team
The 2022–23 Indiana State Sycamores men's basketball team represented Indiana State University in the 2022–23 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Sycamores, led by second-year head coach Josh Schertz, played their home games at the Hulman Center in Terre Haute, Indiana as members of the Missouri Valley Conference. The Fightin' Trees reached the ArchMadness Semi-finals for their best finish since the 2020–21 season. Senior guard Cooper Neese was named to the All- ArchMadness team; Neese scored 63 points for the Tourney, raising his career ArchMadness scoring total to 84 points (10.5 ppg, 8 games).
