Joshua Peter Record (born 20 November 1987) is an English singer-songwriter who has released one album, ''Pillars'', and one EP. He has also had various success as a songwriter and producer for many artists including Sigala, Paloma Faith, Becky Hill, Tom Grennan, Tiesto, Merk & Kremont, Joe Jonas, DNCE, Ella Henderson, Anne Marie, MNEK and LP. Early life Josh Record was born in Stroud, Gloucestershire, England, the son of a BFBS DJ, whom he cites as "my greatest influence". At the age of 16 he moved to London to study music at the BRIT School. He became involved in local charities on the Alton Estate teaching music and participating in related projects, working with young people involved in gangs. Stroud is a market town and civil parish in Gloucestershire, England. It is the main town in Stroud District. The town's population was 13,500 in 2021. The British Forces Broadcasting Service (BFBS) provides radio and television programmes for His Majesty's Armed Forces, and their dependents worldwide. Justin DeYarmond Edison Vernon (born April 30, 1981) is an American singer, songwriter, producer and multi-instrumentalist. He is best known as the primary songwriter and frontman of indie folk band Bon Iver. Stephen Paul Lamacq (born 16 October 1964), sometimes known by his nickname Lammo (given to him by John Peel), is an English disc jockey, currently working with the BBC radio station BBC Radio 6 Music. Early life He attended The Ramsey Academy from 1976, which had been formed the previous year from two grammar schools. He was brought up in the Essex village of Colne Engaine.
