Josh Morris (footballer, Born 1991)
Joshua Francis Morris (born 30 September 1991) is an English professional footballer who plays as a left sided midfielder. Beginning his career in the Premier League with Blackburn Rovers, Morris experienced loan spells with Football League teams Yeovil Town, Rotherham United, Carlisle United, and multiple stints with Fleetwood Town, before departing for Bradford City in 2015. After a year, he moved to Scunthorpe United where he would play over 100 games and was named in the PFA League One Team of the Year for 2016–17, having scored 19 goals. In 2019 he rejoined Fleetwood, and left after a two-year spell. After one year with Salford City, Morris signed for Scottish club Motherwell in July 2022. Internationally, Morris represented England U20 in 2011, and featured in that year's FIFA U20 World Cup. Josh Morris (born 7 November 2001) is a professional Australian rules footballer with the Hawthorn Football Club in the Australian Football League (AFL). Hawthorn selected Morris with Pick 57 in the 2019 AFL Draft. Early career A fast leading and dangerous forward, Morris played for Woodville-West Torrens in the SANFL Reserves competition in 2019, where he averaged eight disposals across his five outings. AFL career Morris's AFL career was initially hampered by the Covid-19 pandemic. As a young player coming into the system Morris would normally start by playing with the Hawthorn affiliate Box Hill Hawks, but because that competition had been suspended for the year he had to show his metal with scratch matches against other AFL clubs. Joshua William Morris (born 27 October 1982) is an Australian politician. He was a Liberal member of the Victorian Legislative Council, having represented Western Victoria Region from 2014 to 2018. Morris was born in Ballarat, and studied at St Patrick's College, Ballarat, and the Australian Catholic University. A physical education teacher by profession, he was most recently teaching at Darley Primary School. He was elected to the Ballarat City Council in 2012, and served as mayor from 2013 to 2014, taking a leave of absence from his teaching job. Morris was a late entry into the 2014 state election, only being preselected for the safe second position on the Liberal ticket for the Western Victoria Region of the Legislative Council in August 2014.
