Josh Meyers (ice Hockey)
Josh Meyers (born December 7, 1985) is an American former professional ice hockey player. He last played for the Krefeld Pinguine in the Deutsche Eishockey Liga (DEL). He was selected by the Los Angeles Kings in the 7th round (206th overall) of the 2005 NHL Entry Draft. Playing career Meyers played four seasons (2005–09) of college ice hockey at the University of Minnesota Duluth with the Minnesota–Duluth Bulldogs in the WCHA at the NCAA Division I level. On May 30, 2010, he was signed as a free agent by the Calgary Flames. After three seasons in Germany with Krefeld Pinguine of the DEL, Meyers was released to free agency and initially signed a one-year contract with Norwegian club, the Stavanger Oilers of the GET-ligaen Eliteserien, known as Fjordkraftligaen due to sponsorship, is the premier Norwegian ice hockey league, organised by the Norwegian Ice Hockey Association. Abbotsford Heat
The Abbotsford Heat were a professional ice hockey team that played five seasons in the American Hockey League (AHL) between 2009 and 2014. The team was based in Abbotsford, British Columbia, Canada, and played its home games at the 7,046-seat Abbotsford Entertainment & Sports Centre. The franchise was the National Hockey League (NHL) affiliate of the Calgary Flames and arrived in Abbotsford in 2009 as a relocated franchise formerly known as the Quad City Flames. The team played five seasons in British Columbia before the Flames' lease agreement with the City of Abbotsford was terminated following the 2013–14 season. The All-WCHA Hockey Teams are composed of players at all positions from teams that are members of the Western Collegiate Hockey Association (WCHA), an NCAA Division I hockey-only conference. Each year, from 1959–60 onward, at the conclusion of the WCHA regular season, the head coaches of each member team vote for players to be placed on each all-sir team. The First Team and Second Team have been named in each WCHA Hockey season with a Third Team added in 1995–96; a Rookie Team was added starting in 1990–91.
