Josh Cody
Joshua Crittenden Cody (June 11, 1892 – June 17, 1961) was an American college athlete, head coach, and athletics director. Cody was a native of Tennessee and an alumnus of Vanderbilt University, where he played several sports. As a versatile Tackle (American football position), tackle on the Vanderbilt Commodores football, football team, he was a three-time All-American. In 1969, Cody was named by the Football Writers Association of America to the 1869–1918 Early Era All-American Team. He was inducted as a player into the College Football Hall of Fame in 1970. Coach Charley Moran called Cody the greatest tackle ever to play in the South. After graduation from Vanderbilt, Cody coached college football and college basketball, basketball and served as the athletics director at various universities, including: Clemson University, the University of Florida and Temple University. Temple Owls Men's Basketball
The Temple Owls men's basketball team represents Temple University in the sport of basketball. The Owls compete in National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division I as a member of the American Athletic Conference (The American). They play their home games in the Liacouras Center on the university's main campus in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and are currently led by head coach Aaron Mckie. Temple is the fifth-most winningest NCAA Division I men's college basketball program of all time, with 1,903 wins at the end of the 2017–18 season. Outing (magazine)
''Outing'' (sometimes titled ''The Outing Magazine'') was a late 19th- and early 20th-century American magazine covering a variety of sporting activities. It began publication in 1882 as the ''Wheelman'' "an illustrated magazine of cycling literature and news" and had four title changes before ceasing publication in 1923. It was based in Boston. Samuel McClure edited the ''Wheelman'' for Colonel Albert Pope, Pope Manufacturing Company for bicycles for two years. Bicycling was the first outdoor sport to seize the Americans. Suddenly bicycling was all the rage. In 1884 it was called ''Outing and the Wheelman: An Illustrated Monthly Magazine of Recreation''. The 1915 College Football All-America team is composed of college football players who were selected as All-Americans for the 1915 college football season.
