Joshua Clell Brown (born April 29, 1979) is a former American football placekicker. He was drafted by the Seattle Seahawks in the seventh round of the 2003 NFL Draft. He played college football at Nebraska. Brown also played for the St. Louis Rams, Cincinnati Bengals and New York Giants. Josh Brown (born 26 December 1993) is an Australian cricketer who plays for Brisbane Heat in the Big Bash League. He is a right-handed batsman and a right arm medium pace bowler. Career Brown grew up in Brisbane and played soccer as a youth, not starting cricket until aged 13. He played Grade cricket in Queensland and club cricket in England. Joshua Brown (born January 21, 1994) is a Canadian professional ice hockey defenceman for the Arizona Coyotes of the National Hockey League (NHL). He was selected in the sixth round, 152nd overall, by the Florida Panthers in the 2013 NHL Entry Draft. Prior to joining the Coyotes, Brown played for the Ottawa Senators, Boston Bruins and the Panthers. Joshua Brown (born 1976) is an American singer who is best known as the lead vocalist of Christian rock band Day of Fire. He was also the original lead vocalist of Full Devil Jacket and was a featured vocalist on Fireflight's hit song "You Decide" from their album ''The Healing of Harms''. Biography Early life and Full Devil Jacket Josh Brown wanted to be a rock-star at a very early age. He began songwriting at the age of 14, forming a band called Sludge. At the age of 15 he was already partying, doing drugs, and drinking heavily. He started a new heavy metal band called the Voodoo Hippies in 1993 (they changed their to name to Full Devil Jacket in 1995 after discovering a Detroit band already had that name). Joshua David Brown (1816–1876) was a Texas pioneer who became the first settler of Kerrville, the seat of Kerr County in the Texas Hill Country west of San Antonio. Brown donated the original townsite for Kerrville, and the community was named after his friend and fellow Kentucky native, James Kerr (1790–1850). Brown made his living by making shingles harvested from cypress trees growing along the Guadalupe River. Background Brown was born in Madison County, Kentucky in 1816. His parents, Edward Brown and Anastasia Campbell Brown, migrated to Sabine County, Texas in the 1830s and Joshua followed them in 1837. Murder Of Botham Jean
On the night of September 6, 2018, 26-year-old accountant Botham Jean was murdered when off-duty Dallas Police Department patrol officer Amber Guyger entered Jean's apartment in Dallas, Texas and fatally shot him. Guyger, who said that she had entered Jean's apartment believing it was her own and believed Jean to be a burglar, was initially charged with manslaughter. The absence of a murder charge led to protests and accusations of racial bias, since Jean was black and unarmed and was killed in his own home by a white off-duty officer who had apparently disregarded police protocols. On November 30, 2018, Guyger was indicted on a charge of murder. On October 1, 2019, she was found guilty of murder, and was sentenced to ten years' imprisonment the following day.
