Josh Bassett
Joshua Marcus Andrew Bassett (born 17 March 1992) is an English rugby union player who currently plays for Harlequins. His regular position is Wing. Club career Bassett played youth team rugby for Ampthill RUFC, where he helped the under-17s win the National Bowl with a try in the final—the team lost only one game all season. Bassett played for Bedford Blues in the RFU Championship. After being promoted from the academy in 2010, Bassett soon became a regular starter. He was linked with a host of Premiership teams after becoming a prolific try scorer for the Blues. On 3 April 2013, it was announced that Bassett had signed for Wasps for the 2013/14 season. He would join fellow England U20s such as Tommy Bell, Nathan Morris and Alec Hepburn with whom he played at the 2012 junior World Cup. RFU Championship
The RFU Championship is an English rugby union competition comprising twelve clubs. It is the second level of men’s English rugby and is played by both professional and semi-professional players. The competition has existed since 1987, when English clubs were first organised into leagues. Organisation and format The Championship is governed by the Rugby Football Union (RFU). The current competition format is a double round-robin tournament, where teams play each other home and away. Alec Hepburn (born 30 March 1993) is an English rugby union player who plays as a loosehead prop for Exeter Chiefs in the Aviva Premiership. Early life Hepburn was born in Perth, Australia. When he was young, his family moved to Hopetoun, a small town on the south coast of Western Australia. Club career During the 2013–14 season, Hepburn had a spell with London Welsh in the RFU Championship. In 2014, Hepburn returned to his native Perth and joined Cottesloe Rugby Club. Tommy Bell (born 11 November 1992) is an English rugby union player who plays for Benetton. He began his career with Sale Sharks in the Aviva Premiership, but moved to London Wasps for the 2012/2013 season, playing alongside his brother Chris Bell. On 6 June 2014, Bell made his move to the RFU Championship as he signed a contract with Jersey. However, after a month with Jersey, Bell was granted early release from his contract since a top flight club made an approach to him where he would officially move to Leicester Tigers. Ampthill Rugby Club is an English rugby union team based in Ampthill, Bedfordshire. The club runs six senior teams and the full range of junior sides. The first XV play in the RFU Championship, the second tier of the English rugby union system.
