Joseph Augustine McGrath (22 September 1911 – 10 June 1968) was an Australian rules footballer who played with Footscray in the Victorian Football League (VFL). Joe McGrath (Gaelic Games)
Joe McGrath was an Irish Gaelic football and hurling coach, known for his All-Ireland success with Cork and for "revolutionising" training programs. He led Blackrock towards All-Ireland glory in 1973 and later led Cork to the All-Ireland U21 hurling success. He was also responsible for the McGrath Cup. Joe McGrath (born November 27, 1980) is a former professional Canadian football offensive tackle. He was drafted by the Stampeders in the first round of the 2003 CFL Draft. He played college football for the Miami Hurricanes. Early years McGrath was coached by his father at Vanier Collegiate Institute in Moose Jaw and was considered an all-star in both football and basketball and the number two Canadian high school lineman at graduation. McGrath played college football from 1999 through 2003 for the Miami Hurricanes, three years as a regular at left guard. He won a national championship with the Hurricanes in 2001. Professional career First stint with Eskimos McGrath was drafted second overall in the 2003 CFL Draft by the Calgary Stampeders but was signed by the Edmonton Eskimos as a free agent on July 7, 2004. Joe McGrath (born in Dublin) is an association football coach who managed the New Zealand national team. McGrath first took charge of the New Zealand side in May 1997. New Zealand won three, drew three and lost six of his 12 games in charge. He later coached Irish sides Bohemian F.C. and Kilkenny City. During his spell at Oriel Park McGrath won the 1964-65 LFA President's Cup. He moved to Drumcondra F.C. in March 1966 making his debut against his former club. He played twice against Eintracht Frankfurt in the 1966–67 Inter-Cities Fairs Cup. On 5 June 1966 at Dalymount Park McGrath played in the first ever Republic of Ireland U23 game. He was also an amateur international. In November 1966 McGrath moved to Limerick F.C. and scored twice on his debut on the 20th. Joseph McGrath (12 August 1888 – 26 March 1966) was an Irish politician and businessman. He was a Sinn Féin and later a Cumann na nGaedheal Teachta Dála (TD) for various constituencies; Dublin St James's (1918–1921), Dublin North West (1921–1923) and Mayo North (1923–1924), and developed widespread business interests. Political career McGrath was born in Dublin in 1888. By 1916 he was working with his brother George at Craig Gardiner & Co., a firm of accountants in Dawson Street, Dublin. He worked with Michael Collins, a part-time fellow clerk and the two struck up a friendship. Joseph McGrath was an American politician who served as acting Mayor of Boston during the tenure of James Michael Curley, Chairman of the Massachusetts Democratic Party, and Collector of Customs for the Port of Boston. Early life and career McGrath was born on December 20, 1890, in Boston. He graduated from Dorchester High School. While still in high school, McGrath became involved in local politics.
