Joseph Hebert is an American professional poker player from Metairie, Louisiana. In 2020, he finished runner-up in the World Series of Poker Main Event. Hebert has worked part-time as a waiter at The Galley Seafood restaurant in Metairie. His first WSOP cash came in 2014. Prior to the 2020 Main Event, he had 18 career WSOP cashes, including three at the 2020 WSOP Online. He also has 18 cashes on the WSOP Circuit, finishing runner-up in a Main Event in New Orleans in 2013 for $140,000. In January 2020, he won a $2,000 No Limit Hold'em event in Biloxi for $74,000. The 2020 World Series of Poker (WSOP) was the 51st edition of the event. Originally scheduled to begin on May 26 at the Rio All-Suite Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada, it was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The 2020 World Series of Poker Online was a series of online poker tournaments organized by the World Series of Poker (WSOP). It was held from July 1-September 8 and featured 85 bracelet events, 31 on WSOP.com and 54 on GGPoker. Damian Salas (born 1975) is an Argentinian poker player from Chascomús. He won the World Series of Poker Main Event in 2020, becoming the first person from Argentina to win the world championship of poker and the second person from South America to win the championship, after 2001 champion Carlos Mortensen.
