Joseph E. Preston
Joseph Edward Preston (born November 30, 1956) is an American attorney and politician from the Commonwealth of Virginia. A member of the Democratic Party, Preston represented the 63rd district in the Virginia House of Delegates. Early life and education Preston was born in Omaha, Nebraska, and graduated from Omaha Central High School. He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Howard University and a Juris Doctor from the Howard University School of Law. Career Preston ran in the Democratic Party primary election in 1993 against incumbent Jay DeBoer but lost. He ran in a special election, held in January 2015, to fill the seat of Rosalyn Dance, a Democrat who was elected to the Virginia State Senate. An independent or non-partisan politician is a politician not affiliated with any political party or bureaucratic association. Petersburg is an independent city in the Commonwealth of Virginia in the United States. As of the 2020 census, the population was 33,458. The Bureau of Economic Analysis combines Petersburg (along with the city of Colonial Heights) with Dinwiddie County for statistical purposes. The city is south of the commonwealth (state) capital city of Richmond. It is located at the fall line (the head of navigation of rivers on the U.S. East Coast) of the Appomattox River (a tributary of the longer larger James River which flows east to meet the southern mouth of the Chesapeake Bay at the Hampton Roads harbor and the Atlantic Ocean). Jay DeBoer
A jay is a member of a number of species of medium-sized, usually colorful and noisy, passerine birds in the Crow family, Corvidae. The evolutionary relationships between the jays and the magpies are rather complex. For example, the Eurasian magpie seems more closely related to the Eurasian jay than to the East Asian blue and green magpies, whereas the blue jay is not closely related to either.
