Josep Grau-Garriga
Josep Grau-Garriga (February 18, 1929 - August 29, 2011) was a Catalan textile artist who cultivated various techniques: painting, drawing, engraving, wall painting, sculpture and above all tapestry. He was the director of the ''Escola Catalana del Tapís'' (Catalan School of Tapestry) and exhibited his works around the world. Sant Cugat Del Vallès
Sant Cugat del Vallès (; es, San Cugat del Vallés, link=no) is a town and municipality north of Barcelona, Catalonia, Spain. Known as ''Castrum Octavianum'' in antiquity (which literally means ''the castle of Octavianus'') and as ''Pins del Vallès'' during the Second Spanish Republic, it is named after Saint Cucuphas, who is said to have been martyred on the spot now occupied by its Monastery of Sant Cugat, medieval monastery. Palau Robert () is a building on Barcelona's Passeig de Gràcia 107, the former private residence of Robert Robert i Surís, an influential aristocrat, politician and businessman at the turn of the 20th century. It's now a government-run institution that hosts an exhibition centre with three halls, a concert hall, a public swimming pool and gardens as well as the Information Centre for Catalonia, including the city's tourism bureau. Tapestry Artists
Tapestry is a form of textile art, traditionally woven by hand on a loom. Tapestry is weft-faced weaving, in which all the warp threads are hidden in the completed work, unlike most woven textiles, where both the warp and the weft threads may be visible. In tapestry weaving, weft yarns are typically discontinuous; the artisan interlaces each coloured weft back and forth in its own small pattern area. It is a plain weft-faced weave having weft threads of different colours worked over portions of the warp to form the design.
