Josefina Wikberg
Parameters Josefina Wikberg (born July 8, 1982) is a Swedish adventure racer and ski mountaineer. She is a member of the Swedish National Teams in both sports. In 2014, she placed second in the two-day Keb Classic with teammates Charlotte Kalla, multiple cross-country World and Olympic Champion, and Emelie Forsberg, three-time Skyrunner World Series winner in the Ultra discipline. Adventure Racing
Adventure racing (also called expedition racing) is typically a multidisciplinary team sport involving navigation over an unmarked wilderness course with races extending anywhere from two hours up to two weeks in length. Some races offer solo competition as well. The principal disciplines in adventure racing include trekking, mountain biking, and paddling although races can incorporate a multitude of other disciplines including climbing, abseiling, horse riding, skiing and white water rafting. Teams generally vary in gender mix and in size from two to five competitors, however, the premier format is considered to be mixed gender teams of four racers. There is typically no suspension of the clock during races, irrespective of length; elapsed competition time runs concurrently with real time, and competitors must choose if or when to rest. Charlotte Kalla
Marina Charlotte Kalla (born 22 July 1987 in Tärendö) is a Swedish cross-country skier who has been competing at international level since the 2003–04 season. Kalla is a three-time Olympian, winning her first Olympic gold medal at the 2010 Winter Olympics in the 10 km freestyle event in Vancouver. At the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi Kalla ran the final leg in the 4 × 5 km women's relay race and started third with a 25.7 seconds lag behind the first place but reduced the gap, overtaking her competitors in the final straight, earning Sweden the first gold medal in the women's relay event since 1968. Emelie Tina Forsberg (born December 11, 1986) is a Swedish athlete specializing in trail running (skyrunning, mountain running) and ski mountaineering. She has won repeated victories in different disciplines, including European and World Championships. The Skyrunner World Series is an annual international championship of skyrunning (high altitude endurance races) and the official International Skyrunning Federation (ISF) race circuit for mountain running. Vértex Vinter was a Swedish ski mountaineering competition, now discontinued, that took place in 2005–2011 in different winter sport locations. Venues and events In 2004–2006 the venue was Storulvån in the Åre Ski Area, in 2007–2009 in Åre proper and in 2010–2011 in Sylarna. There were two separate events; in 2004–2009 and in 2011 there was a solo event for single competitors and in 2004–2010 a duo event for teams of two. In addition to the elite level events various additional events have been held from time to time, such as snowshoe races and shorter beginners' races.
