Jose Hirais Acosta Beltran
Bishop José HiraÃs Acosta Beltrán is the current serving bishop of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Huejutla. Early life and education José was born in Pezmatlán, Hidalgo, Mexico on 22 September 1966. He completed his ecclesiastical studies from the Regional Seminary of Our Lady of Guadalupe in Tula. He has also acquired a degree in philosophy from the Pontifical University of Mexico. Priesthood José was ordained a deacon on 25 November 1992 by Bishop Juan de Dios Caballero Reyes and a priest on 11 June 1993. He has served as parochial vicar, vice rector of the Minor Seminary, professor and formator of the Major Seminary and judge of the Ecclesiastical Court of Huejutla. Before being appointed as a bishop he has served as prefect of studies and spiritual director of the Major Seminary of Huejutla, defender of the diocesan bond and member of the College of Consultants of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Huejutla. Huejutla De Reyes
Huejutla de Reyes is a city and one of the 84 municipalities of Hidalgo, in central-eastern Mexico. The name comes from the Nahuatl ''huexotl'' ("willow") and ''tlan'' ("place"), while "de Reyes" commemorates local cobbler Antonio Reyes Cabrera who died defending Huejutla from French invaders in 1866. The municipality covers an area of 377.8 km2 in the northeast of Hidalgo, in the Huasteca region, on the border with the state of Veracruz. As of 2005, the municipality had a total population of 115,786. but only 36,305 live in the metropolitan area, whereas the remaining population live in various small communities. Around 73,200 people speak indigenous languages, primarily Huasteca Nahuatl. It has been called "the Heart of La Huasteca". The Ecclesiastical Courts Jurisdiction Act 1860 (23 & 24 Vict c 32) is an Act of the Parliament of the United Kingdom. It is one of the Ecclesiastical Courts Acts 1787 to 1860. The Act is sometimes known as the "ECJA." Section 1 Section 1 provided that it was not lawful for an ecclesiastical court in England or Ireland to entertain or adjudicate on a suit or cause of brawling or defamation against any person not in Holy Orders.
