Jose E. Martinez (born July 28, 1941) is an Law of the United States, American lawyer and a United States federal judge, United States district judge of the United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida. Early life and education Martinez was born in 1941 in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. He received his Bachelor of Business Administration Academic degree, degree from the University of Miami in 1962 and his Juris Doctor from the University of Miami School of Law in 1965. Career Martinez served in the United States Navy Reserve, United States Naval Reserve from 1964 to 1993, and was a United States Navy, Navy legal officer from 1965 to 1968.
