Joris van Overeem (born 1 June 1994) is a Dutch professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for Israeli Premier League club Maccabi Tel Aviv. Club career Van Overeem joined Dutch youth side AZ in 2006. AZ Alkmaar On 30 October 2013, he made his senior debut for AZ in the KNVB Cup against Achilles '29; substituting Jeffrey Gouweleeuw in the 69' minute and scoring the last goal in the 88' minute; in a home match that ended in a 7–0 win. Dordrecht On 9 August 2014, he made his senior debut in the Eredivisie and for Dordrecht against Heerenveen; in a match that ended in a 1–2 away victory, where he both opened and scored his debut senior league goal. AZ Alkmaar
Alkmaar Zaanstreek (), better known as AZ Alkmaar or simply AZ (), is a Dutch professional football club from Alkmaar and the Zaan district. The club plays in the Eredivisie, the highest professional football league in the Netherlands, and hosts home matches at the AFAS Stadion. AZ has won the Eredivisie twice, in 1980–81 and 2008–09. KNVB Cup
The KNVB Beker (; en, KNVB Cup), branded as the TOTO KNVB Beker for sponsorship reasons, is a competition in the Netherlands organized by the Royal Dutch Football Association (KNVB) since 1898. It was based on the format of the English FA Cup. Outside the Netherlands, it is often referred to as the Dutch Cup. The tournament consists of all teams from the top four tiers of Dutch league football (Eredivisie, Eerste Divisie, Tweede Divisie and Derde Divisie), as well as the 24 semi-finalists (or replacements) of the six KNVB District Cups. Sportclub Heerenveen (; West Frisian: Sportklub It Hearrenfean) is a Dutch football club from Heerenveen. They currently play in the Eredivisie, the top level of football in the Netherlands. History Sportclub Heerenveen was founded on 20 July 1920 in the town of Heerenveen, Friesland, as Athleta. It changed name twice, first to Spartaan and then to v.v. Heerenveen in 1922. While the Netherlands was occupied by Germany, Heerenveen won three successive North of the Netherlands championships, and following the end of World War II it went on to win the same title six times in a row; the club's dominance partly ascribed to the presence of Abe Lenstra.
