Jorge Sapag
Jorge Augusto Sapag (b. July 18, 1951) is an Argentine politician and lawyer, a member of the Neuquino People's Movement (MPN) and governor of Neuquén Province in Argentina since 2007. Born in Zapala, Neuquén Province, Jorge Sapag is a member of a prominent family in the politics of Neuquén Province. He is the son of the late senator Elías Sapag, nephew of Felipe Sapag, five times governor of the province and brother of Luz María Sapag, former senator, provincial deputy and mayor of San Martín de los Andes. San Martín De Los Andes
San Martín de los Andes is a city in the south-west of the , serving as the administration centre of the Lácar Department. Lying at the foot of the Andes, on the Lácar lake, it is considered one of the main tourism destinations in the province. The National Route 40 runs to the city, connecting it with important touristic points in the south of the province, such as Lanín and Nahuel Huapí national parks. Luz María Sapag (15 June 1944 – 7 July 2010) was an Argentine politician, Mayor of the city of San Martín de los Andes and formerly a Senator representing the Neuquén Province under the aegis of the Neuquino People's Movement. Sapag was born in Cutral Có, Neuquén. Ana Pechen
Ana María Pechen de D'Angelo (born 19 June 1949) is an Argentine biochemist and former politician who served as Vice Governor of Neuquén Province from 2007 to 2015, under Governor Jorge Sapag. She also served as rector of the National University of Comahue (UNCo) from 2002 to 2006. Early life and education Born in Bahía Blanca, Buenos Aires, Pechen studied biochemistry at the Universidad Nacional del Sur, graduating with a licenciatura and later completing her PhD in the same university in 1976. Career She later became a professor at the UNCo, in Neuquén. In addition, she is a scholar at the National Scientific and Technical Research Council. In the 2007 provincial elections, she was the running mate of Jorge Sapag in the Neuquén People's Movement (MPN) ticket to the governorship of Neuquén.
