Jorge López (baseball)
Jorge Yabiel López Ramos (born February 10, 1993) is a Puerto Rican professional baseball pitcher for the Baltimore Orioles of Major League Baseball (MLB). He has previously played in MLB for the Milwaukee Brewers, Kansas City Royals, Minnesota Twins and Miami Marlins. He made his MLB debut in 2015 and was an All-Star in 2022. Professional career Milwaukee Brewers The Milwaukee Brewers selected López in the second round of the 2011 Major League Baseball draft out of the Caguas Military Academy in Caguas, Puerto Rico. He signed with the Brewers and made his professional debut with the Arizona League Brewers. He spent 2012 with the Dominican Summer League Brewers and Gulf Coast Brewers and 2013 with the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers. In 2014, López pitched for the Brevard County Manatees. Jorge López Marco (born 23 November 1978), known as Tote, is a Spanish retired footballer who played as a forward. He amassed Segunda División totals of 187 games and 31 goals over the course of six seasons, almost exclusively with Hércules. In La Liga he appeared for Real Madrid, Valladolid, Betis, Málaga and Hércules, adding 88 matches and ten goals in a 15-year professional career. Club career After beginning his football grooming with Atlético Madrid, Madrid-born Tote moved crosstown in 1993, joining Real Madrid's youth ranks. Centro Deportivo Olmedo
Club Centro Deportivo Olmedo is an Ecuadorian professional football club based in Riobamba, Ecuador. They play in the Serie B. The club won their only national championship in 2000. Their achievement made them the first club outside Quito and Guayaquil to win a national championship. They have also won two Serie B titles in 1994 and 2003. Internationally, they have played in the Copa Libertadores four times, reaching the Round of 16 once in 2002. Founded in 1919, Olmedo is one of the oldest clubs in the Serie A or Serie B. Jorge Alberto López (born 1955 in Monterrey, Mexico) is a physicist and educator and the Schumaker Professor of Physics at the University of Texas at El Paso. He is known for his work in heavy ion collision dynamics and for his outreach to the Hispanic community in the United States to increase diversity in physics, effective teaching and mentoring of undergraduate students (particularly underrepresented minorities), development of bilingual physics education programs, and building collaborations between American and Latin American universities. Jorge Alberto López Orozco (born April 22, 1976), is a Mexican former fugitive. He was wanted for the murder of his girlfriend and her two children and unlawful flight to avoid prosecution in Elmore County, Idaho. On March 17, 2005, he became the 480th fugitive listed by the FBI placed on the FBI Ten Most Wanted Fugitives list. Lopez-Orozco was captured on October 8, 2009 in Zihuatanejo, Mexico. He was extradited to the United States and was convicted and sentenced to life without parole in 2013.
