Jordy Bahl
Jordyn Bahl (born July 24, 2002) is an American college softball pitcher for Nebraska. As a freshman at Oklahoma in 2022, she was named NFCA National Freshman of the Year. High school career Bahl attended Papillion-La Vista Senior High School in Papillion, Nebraska. She led the Monarchs to three consecutive Class A state titles and was awarded All-State honors all four years. During her junior year in 2020, she posted a 27–0 record with a 0.15 ERA, surrendering just 27 hits and 24 walks in 139 innings pitched, while striking out 299 batters. She also batted .581 with 59 RBI, tying the Class A single-season record with 22 home runs. Following an outstanding season, she was named the Nebraska Softball Player of the Year. During her senior year in 2021, she posted a 27–0 record with a 0.10 ERA, surrendering just 27 hits and 15 walks in 137 innings pitched, while striking out 316 batters. Werner Park is a minor league ballpark located just west of Papillion, Nebraska, a suburb in Sarpy County southwest of Omaha. Opened in 2011, it is owned by Sarpy County. It is the home of the Omaha Storm Chasers (the Triple A affiliate of the Kansas City Royals) and USL League One professional soccer club Union Omaha. The Omaha Mavericks of the University of Nebraska Omaha also use the stadium for some home college baseball games. Papillion-La Vista Senior High School, often referred to as Papio, PLHS, North or "Old School", is located in Papillion, Nebraska, United States and is operated by the Papillion-La Vista Public School District. The 2022 Big 12 Conference softball tournament was held at USA Softball Hall of Fame Stadium in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma from May 12 through May 14, 2022. ''OU Daily'', formally known as The Oklahoma Daily, is the independent, student-produced newspaper at the University of Oklahoma, with a circulation of 6,000. Though it maintains a connection with OU's Gaylord College of Journalism and Mass Communication, the newspaper is not a part of required learning for journalism students at OU. Some classes, however, are offered at ''The Daily'' for academic credit. ''The Daily'' is operated by OU Student Media, a division of Student Affairs, which also houses the ''Sooner'' yearbook, ''Sower'' magazine, the OU Visitor Guide and an advertising office. Paige Nicole Parker (born January 24, 1996) is an American, former collegiate four-time All-American, professional softball pitcher and current assistant head coach at Utah. She played college softball at Oklahoma, and won back-to-back National Championships with the Sooners in 2016 and 2017. Parker is a career record holder for perfect games (4) for the school and also ranks top-10 in the Big 12 Conference and the NCAA Division I for the same category. In baseball, a perfect game is a game in which one or more pitchers complete a minimum of nine innings with no batter from the opposing team reaching any base. Hope Trautwein (born August 26, 1999) is a former American college softball pitcher and current graduate assistant coach for the Oklahoma Sooners. She previously played softball for North Texas, where she pitched the first perfect game in NCAA Division I history in which every out was a strikeout. High school career Trautwein attended Hendrickson High School in Pflugerville, Texas. As a senior, she led Hendrickson to a 27–3 record and a trip to the regional quarterfinals of the 2017 6A State Championship. She was subsequently named District 13-6A Pitcher of the Year in 2017. 2022 Oklahoma Sooners Softball Team
The 2022 Oklahoma Sooners softball team was an American college softball team that represented the University of Oklahoma during the 2022 NCAA Division I softball season.
