Jordi Vanlerberghe
Jordi Vanlerberghe (born 27 June 1996) is a Belgian professional footballer who plays as a defensive midfielder or centre-back for KV Mechelen in the Belgian Pro League. Vanlerberghe started his professional career as a striker. Club career Vanlerberghe made his Belgian Pro League debut on 27 October 2012 in the derby against Lierse. He replaced Nicklas Pedersen as an 88th-minute substitute. He scored his first professional goal on 25 January 2014 against Mons. In June 2017, Vanlerberghe was signed on a four-year deal by Club Brugge. There, he failed to gain a starting spot under head coach Ivan Leko, as the club won the Belgian league title. In July 2018, it was therefore decided to loan him out to Oostende, where he was reunited with Gert Verheyen, his former coach with the Belgian U23 team. Duffel
Duffel () is a municipality in the Belgian province of Antwerp. The municipality comprises only the town of Duffel proper. On 1 January 2020, Duffel had a total population of 17,664. The total area is 22.71 km² which gives a population density of 778 inhabitants per km². The area is namegiver to a certain type of coarse woolen cloth manufactured in this area from the 11th century, mainly used to make blankets, outdoor (army) coats and tot bags. Duffel again became a household name during and after World War II, in the meaning of a certain coat, designed with toggle-and-tow fastening and large hood. The Belgian Pro League,(officially the Jupiler Pro League due to sponsorship reasons with Jupiler), is the top league competition for association football clubs in Belgium. Contested by 18 clubs since the 2020–21 season and reduced to 16 teams from the 2023–24 season onwards, it operates on a system of promotion and relegation with the Challenger Pro League. Seasons run from early August to late April, with teams playing 34 matches each in the regular season, and then entering Play-offs I (also known as the ''Championship Playoff'', ''title playoffs'' or ''Champions' play-offs'') or Play-offs II (also known as the ''Europa League playoff'' or ''Europe play-offs'') according to their position in the regular season. It started on 27 July 2013 with the match between Club Brugge and Charleroi and finished on 18 May 2014 with Anderlecht grabbing their 33rd title due to a 3–1 at home against Lokeren. During the regular season, Standard Liège started by winning their first nine matches, putting pressure on their main challengers Anderlecht, Club Brugge, Genk and Zulte Waregem. At the halfway point, Genk was closing in on Standard, trailing by one point, but following a series of losses they dropped several places in the standings and eventually they narrowly held on to sixth place and just made it into the title playoffs.
