Jordan Uelese
Jordan Uelese (born 24 January 1997) is an Australian professional rugby union player for the Melbourne Rebels in Super Rugby. He has been capped for the Australian national team. His usual position is hooker. Early life Uelese was born in Wellington, New Zealand, where he started playing rugby for the Oriental Rongotai club. He moved with his family to Melbourne at the age of eleven and attended Marymede Catholic College in South Morang, before moving in 2013 to St. Kevin's College in Melbourne. As a teenageer he was a loose forward before switching to hooker, the position he played for the Rebels Under-20 side in the National Championships. Career Uelese was selected for the Australia Under 20 team two years in a row, playing at the World Rugby Championships in Manchester in 2016 and then in Georgia in 2017. The 2019 Super Rugby season was the 24th season of Super Rugby, an annual rugby union competition organised by SANZAAR between teams from Argentina, Australia, Japan, New Zealand and South Africa. The 2019 season was the second season using the reduced 15-team format consisting of three geographical conferences since being reduced from an 18-team competition in 2017. This was the final season that used the traditional format of international teams playing each other. Super Rugby Trans-Tasman (known as Harvey Norman Super Rugby Trans-Tasman in Australia and Sky Super Rugby Trans-Tasman in New Zealand) was a professional men's rugby union club competition in Australia and New Zealand. It featured the five Super Rugby AU teams playing the five Super Rugby Aotearoa teams, followed by a final, and ran from 14 May to 19 June 2021.
