Jordan Sheffield
Jordan Ladon Sheffield (born June 1, 1995) is an American professional baseball pitcher who is a free agent. He played college baseball at Vanderbilt University and has played in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the Colorado Rockies. Career Amateur career Sheffield attended Tullahoma High School in Tullahoma, Tennessee. Before graduating, it was discovered that he needed Tommy John surgery, which caused him to fall in the Major League Baseball draft. He was selected by the Boston Red Sox in the 13th round of the 2013 Major League Baseball draft, but did not sign and chose to attend Vanderbilt University. After sitting out the 2014 season recovering from surgery, Sheffield made 6 starts and 16 relief appearances for Vanderbilt in 2015. In 60 total innings, he would post a 5–2 win–loss record, 2.85 earned run average (ERA), and 55 strikeouts. Albuquerque Isotopes
The Albuquerque Isotopes are a Minor League Baseball team of the Pacific Coast League and the Triple-A affiliate of the Colorado Rockies. They play home games at Rio Grande Credit Union Field at Isotopes Park in Albuquerque, New Mexico, at an elevation of above sea level. Collegiate Summer Baseball
Collegiate summer baseball leagues are amateur baseball leagues in the United States and Canada featuring players who have attended at least one year of college and have at least one year of athletic eligibility remaining. Generally, they operate from early June to early August. In contrast to college baseball, which allow aluminum or other composite baseball bats, players in these leagues use only wooden bats, hence the common nickname of these leagues as "wood-bat leagues". Collegiate summer leagues allow college baseball players the ability to compete using professional rules and equipment, giving them experience and allowing professional scouts the opportunity to observe players under such conditions. The Tulsa Drillers are a minor league baseball team based in Tulsa, Oklahoma. The team, which plays in the Texas League, is the Double-A affiliate of the Los Angeles Dodgers major-league club. The Arizona Fall League (AFL) is an off-season sports league owned and operated by Major League Baseball (MLB) which operates during the autumn in Arizona, United States, at six different baseball complexes. Arizona Fall League rosters are filled by many of the top prospects in Minor League Baseball (MiLB) who are assigned by their parent clubs. The Glendale Desert Dogs are a baseball team that plays in the West Division of the Arizona Fall League. They play their home games at Camelback Ranch in Glendale, Arizona.
