Jordan Rapp
Jordan Rapp (born July 28, 1980) is an American professional triathlon, triathlete. He is the 2011 ITU Long Distance Triathlon world champion. He has won 8 long distance, multi-sport events, including five Ironman Triathlon competitions. Athletic career Rapp was born in New York City. He spent time growing up in Tokyo, Japan and a small cabin in upstate New York during the summers. At age 9 Rapp's family moved permanently to the suburbs north of New York City along the Hudson River. In high school he played sports such as Squash (sport), squash and lacrosse. He attended Princeton University, where he was on the rowing team. After an injury training for the U.S. National Team, he began competing in triathlons. He had already won two Ironman competitions when, on March 23, 2010, when he was a victim of a Hit and run (vehicular), hit and run car accident while out riding his bike. Jill Savege
Jill Savege (born March 17, 1974) is a Canadian triathlete. Born in Toronto, Ontario, Savege now lives in Thousand Oaks, California. A graduate of Simon Fraser University, she was a swimmer while a student and only turned to triathlon after graduation. In 2003 Savege had an excellent year capturing a number of world circuit titles and winning gold at the Pan-American Games. She was ranked as one of the best in the world. However, a number of injuries have since deprived her of top form. World Bicycle Relief is an international, non-profit organization based in Chicago, IL that specializes in large-scale, comprehensive bicycle distribution programs to aid poverty relief in developing countries around the world. Their programs focus primarily on education, economic development, and health care.
