Jordan Maksymic
Jordan Maksymic is a professional Canadian football coach who is currently the offensive coordinator for the BC Lions of the Canadian Football League (CFL). Early life Maksymic grew up in St. Albert, Alberta, where he played at quarterback for his high school team, the Bellerose Bulldogs. Upon graduation, he joined the team as an assistant coach for 2005 and 2006. His neighbour, Tom Higgins, had introduced him to football while he was he head coach and general manager of the Edmonton Eskimos and invited him to work as a water boy in 2006 for the Calgary Stampeders while Higgins was the head coach for the team. He then worked as a video coordinator for the Stampeders in 2007 and 2008. 103rd Grey Cup
The 103rd Grey Cup was a Canadian football game that was played on November 29, 2015 between the East Division champion Ottawa Redblacks and the West Division champion Edmonton Eskimos to decide the Canadian Football League (CFL) championship for the 2015 season. The game was played at Investors Group Field in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Shaw Communications was the presenting sponsor of the game; it was the first time in CFL history that the Grey Cup has been sponsored. The Eskimos won the contest 26–20 to claim their 14th Grey Cup championship in franchise history and first since 2005. Mike Reilly was named Most Valuable Player and Shamawd Chambers received the Dick Suderman Trophy as Most Valuable Canadian. Rodney Darnell "Lucky" Whitehead Jr. (born June 2, 1992) is an American professional football wide receiver for the BC Lions of the Canadian Football League (CFL). He played high school football at Osbourn High School in Manassas, Virginia. He played college football at Florida Atlantic, and was signed by the Dallas Cowboys as an undrafted free agent in 2015. He has also been a member of the New York Jets and the Winnipeg Blue Bombers. Early years and high school Whitehead was born in Manassas, Virginia on June 2, 1992. He attended George C. Round Elementary and Osbourn High School where he played wide receiver and cornerback on the football team, while being named All-Conference as a senior. Bryan Burnham
Bryan Burnham (born April 3, 1990) is a former American professional football wide receiver who played nine seasons for the BC Lions of the Canadian Football League (CFL) from 2014 to 2022. Burnham played college football at the University of Tulsa. He signed as an undrafted free agent with the BC Lions in 2014. He is from Moorestown, New Jersey. College career Burnham played college football for the Tulsa Golden Hurricane, the only NCAA Division I school that recruited him. After he developed a serious infection when he cut his arm in practice, he sat out his freshman year with redshirt status in 2008. Michael Reilly (born January 25, 1985) is an American former football quarterback player who played in the Canadian Football League (CFL) for 11 seasons. He was the starting quarterback for the Edmonton Eskimos when they won the 103rd Grey Cup and was named the Grey Cup Most Valuable Player. He was originally signed by the Pittsburgh Steelers as an undrafted free agent in 2009. He played college football at Central Washington. He was named the CFL's Most Outstanding Player in 2017. Rick Campbell (born December 20, 1970) is an American-born Canadian football head coach and co-general manager for the BC Lions of the Canadian Football League. He was the Calgary Stampeders' defensive coordinator from 2012 to 2013 and was also an assistant coach with the Edmonton Eskimos and Winnipeg Blue Bombers. He then served as the head coach for the Ottawa Redblacks for six seasons. He is a three-time Grey Cup champion, once as the special teams coordinator with the Eskimos in 2003, again with the Eskimos as the defensive coordinator in 2005, and once as the head coach of the Redblacks in 2016. 2019 Edmonton Eskimos Season
The Edmonton Eskimos season was the 62nd season for the team in the Canadian Football League and their 71st overall. This was the fourth season under head coach Jason Maas and the third season under general manager Brock Sunderland. The team finished with an 8–10 record and fourth in the West Division. Notably, the team had a 1–10 record against playoff-bound teams and their 3–7 divisional record included only wins against the BC Lions. The Eskimos qualified for the playoffs, following a one-year absence, after their week 18 win against the BC Lions on October 12, 2019. 2018 Edmonton Eskimos Season
The Edmonton Eskimos season was the 61st season for the team in the Canadian Football League and their 70th overall. This was the third season under head coach Jason Maas and the second season under general manager Brock Sunderland. The team began the season with a 6–3 win–loss record, but after losing six of the following eight games, the Eskimos were eliminated from the playoffs during their week 20 bye after Winnipeg defeated Calgary to claim the final playoff spot. The Eskimos failed to qualify for the playoffs for the first time since 2013, becoming the first Grey Cup hosts to miss the playoffs since the 2016 Toronto Argonauts.
