Jordan Bernstine
Jordan Bernstine (born May 31, 1989) is a former American football safety. He was selected in the seventh round, 217th overall, by the Washington Redskins in the 2012 NFL Draft. He played college football at the University of Iowa. High school Bernstine was a three-year starter at Des Moines Lincoln for Lincoln football coach Tom Mihalovich. Bernstine was a running back and a defensive back for the Railsplitters and was a leader in the school's back-to-back playoff appearances in 2005 and 2006. Bernstine was the #1 ranked prospect in the state of Iowa in 2007. Safety (American And Canadian Football Position)
Safety is a position in gridiron football on the defense. The safeties are defensive backs who line up ten to fifteen yards from the line of scrimmage. There are two variations of the position: the free safety and the strong safety. Their duties depend on the defensive scheme. The defensive responsibilities of the safety and cornerback usually involve pass coverage towards the middle and sidelines of the field. While American (11-player) formations generally use two safeties, Canadian (12-player) formations generally have one safety and two defensive halfbacks, a position not used in the American game. The posterior cruciate ligament (PCL) is a ligament in each knee of humans and various other animals. It works as a counterpart to the anterior cruciate ligament (ACL). It connects the posterior intercondylar area of the tibia to the medial condyle of the femur. This configuration allows the PCL to resist forces pushing the tibia posteriorly relative to the femur. Roderick Earl Bernstine (born February 8, 1965) is a former professional American football player who was selected by the San Diego Chargers in the first round (24th overall) of the 1987 NFL Draft. A 6'3", 235-lb. running back/tight end from Texas A&M, Bernstine played in 9 NFL seasons from 1987 to 1995. His best season as a pro came during the 1993 season as a member of the Denver Broncos when he rushed for 816 yards and caught 44 receptions. Due to a loophole in official NFL rules he was the only active running back allowed to wear the number 82 while playing for the San Diego Chargers, a number reserved for wide receivers and tight ends. Tight End
The tight end (TE) is a position in American football, arena football, and Canadian football, on the offense. The tight end is often a hybrid position with the characteristics and roles of both an offensive lineman and a wide receiver. Like offensive linemen, they are usually lined up on the offensive line and are large enough to be effective blockers. On the other hand, unlike offensive linemen, they are eligible receivers adept enough to warrant a defense's attention when running pass patterns.
