Joona Veteli
Joona Veteli (born 21 April 1995) is a Finnish football player who plays for Finnish Veikkausliiga side Ilves. Veteli plays in the position of centre midfielder but can also operate as an attacking midfielder, defensive midfielder, right-back and winger. Club career On 9 November 2021, he joined KuPS on a two-year contract. Veteli was named the Veikkausliiga Player of the Month in May 2023. On 6 November 2023, Veteli returned to Ilves, signing a two-year deal with the club, starting in 2024. Ilves (; Finnish for "Lynx") is a Finnish professional ice hockey team based in Tampere. They play in the Liiga at the Tampere Deck Arena. The colors of Ilves, green, yellow, and black, were taken from what was then the coat of arms of the city of Tampere. History With sixteen championships, Ilves is the second most successful hockey team in the Finnish championship league, the Liiga, after their local rival Tappara. Veikkausliiga (; sv, Tipsligan) is the premier division of Finnish football, the highest tier of the Finnish football league structure, comprising the top 12 clubs of the country.
