Joo Hee-jung
Joo Hee-jung (born February 4, 1977) is a South Korean basketball coach and retired player. His playing career spanned twenty years with four different teams in the Korean Basketball League. Despite not being a highly-touted prospect in high school and college, he went on to have a career as one of the league's most consistent and prolific guards, leading the league in assists for four consecutive seasons and becoming the all-time leader for career assists and appearances in league games. After retiring in 2017, Joo returned to his alma mater Korea University as a member of the coaching staff. He was appointed head coach in 2020. Guard (basketball)
In the sport of basketball, there are five players play per team, each assigned to positions. Historically, these players have been assigned, to positions defined by the role they play on the court, from a strategic point of view. The three main positions are guard, forward, and center, with the standard team featuring two guards, two forwards, and a center. Triple-double
In basketball, a double-double is a single-game performance in which a player accumulates ten or more in two of the following five statistical categories: points, rebounds, assists, steals, and blocked shots. The first "double" in the term refers to the two (''double'') categories and the second "double" refers to accumulating ten or more (typically ''double'' digits) in that category. 2009 FIBA Asia Championship
The 2009 FIBA Asia Championship for Men was the biennial Asian continental championship and also served as the FIBA Asia qualifying tournament for the 2010 FIBA World Championship. The tournament was held from August 6 to 16, 2009 in Tianjin, China. The FIBA World Olympic Qualifying Tournament for Men 2008 was the final qualifying tournament for the 2008 Olympic men's basketball tournament. Organized by FIBA, it took place from 14 to 20 July 2008 at the OAKA Indoor Sports Arena, in Athens, Greece. The South Korea men's national basketball team represents South Korea in international men's basketball competitions. It is administered by the Korea Basketball Association (). Yang Dong-geun (born September 14, 1981) is a South Korean retired basketball player for Ulsan Mobis Phoebus and the Korean national team, where he participated at the 2014 FIBA Basketball World Cup. During his sixteen-year career, he won the KBL Rookie of the Year and was named Most Valuable Player (MVP) in KBL four times. Kim Seung-hyun (born November 23, 1978) is a South Korean retired basketball player. He played for Daegu Orions and Seoul Samsung Thunders in the Korean Basketball League and was a member of the South Korean national team. Lee Sang-min (born 11 November 1972) is a South Korean retired professional basketball player and basketball coach. He was part of the team at the 1994 Asian Games, 1996 Summer Olympics, 1998 Asian Games and 2002 Asian Games. Changwon LG Sakers
Changwon LG Sakers are a basketball team located in the city of Changwon in South Gyeongsang Province, South Korea. They play in the Korean Basketball League, and their home arena is Changwon Gymnasium which has a capacity for approximately 6,000 people. The team's main sponsor is LG Electronics which has its offices in Changwon. The professional team was established in 1997 and was named Gyeongnam LG Sakers. The name was changed to the Changwon LG Sakers after the first season. LG Sakers has yet to win a KBL championship. Shin Ki-sung (born April 30, 1975) is a South Korean retired professional basketball player and former coach. He played for three different teams in the Korean Basketball League and the South Korean national team. Known for his speed and shooting accuracy, he was nicknamed "Bullet Man" (총알탄 사나이).
