Jono Grant
Jonothan Jonas Grant (born September 13, 1969) is a Canadian composer, producer and multi-instrumentalist who was nominated for a Genie award for "Achievement in Music/Original Score" on his first film score ''Jacob Two Two Meets the Hooded Fang (1999 film), Jacob Two Two Meets the Hooded Fang'' in 1999. He was also nominated for a Gemini award in the category "Best Original Music Score for an Animated Program or Series" in 2006 for the first episode of ''Captain Flamingo'', an animated series created by Breakthrough Films and Television. Grant has created scores for many television series and films from his personal studio Victory Drive Music located in Toronto's Leslieville. Much Music
Much (an abbreviation for its full name MuchMusic) is a Canadian English language specialty channel owned by BCE Inc. through its Bell Media subsidiary that airs programming aimed at teenagers and young adults. MuchMusic launched on August 31, 1984, under the ownership of CHUM Limited, and was originally focused on music programming, including blocks of music videos and original series focusing on Canadian musicians. In the years since its acquisition by Bell, Much has cancelled the majority of its music programming due to budget and staffing cuts. The channel's full name was retired in 2013 in reflection of its decreasing reliance on music-related programming. ''Life with Derek'' is a Canadian television teen situation comedy that aired on Family Channel (English) and VRAK.TV (French) in Canada and on Disney Channel in the United States. The series premiered on Family on September 18, 2005, and ran for four seasons, ending its run on March 25, 2009. Reruns aired on Family Channel and multiplex sister channel Family Chrgd until September 2016. The series stars Michael Seater and Ashley Leggat as the two oldest children in a stepfamily. The Screech Owls
''The Screech Owls'' is a series of juvenile fiction novels by Canadian author Roy MacGregor. There are currently 27 titles in the series, all published by McClelland & Stewart. Summary The series centers around a fictional hockey team, however it incorporates actual events and locations, such as the Quebec Peewee Invitational in Quebec, Canada. and the 1998 Winter Olympics and 2002 Winter Olympics in Nagano, Japan and Salt Lake City, United States, respectively. There does not appear to be a clear time line of events in the series. Although MacGregor often refers back to events that occurred in previous books in the series, the static ages of the players and the seemingly never-ending hockey season contradict any definite time line. WildBrain Studios is the in-house television studio arm of Canadian entertainment company WildBrain based in Vancouver which was established in 2016 as DHX Studios. History In January 2016, DHX Media announced that they would be building a 60,000 square-foot studio in Vancouver that would focus on both animated and live-action productions. The production teams of the former Studio B Productions, which DHX Media acquired in 2007 and Nerd Corps Entertainment, which DHX acquired in 2014 were relocated to the new building later in the year. The studio consists of two production teams: the former Nerd Corps team, which focuses on the production of CGI animated shows, and the former Studio B team, which focuses on the production of 2D animated shows (including those animated with Adobe Animate).
