''Jone, ossia L'ultimo giorno di Pompei'' is an opera in four acts by Errico Petrella. The Italian-language libretto was by Giovanni Peruzzini, after Edward Bulwer-Lytton's famous novel ''The Last Days of Pompeii''. Performance history The opera was premiered at La Scala on 26 January 1858. It was an immediate success, not only all over Italy, but in the rest of the world as well. It remained in the repertory for close to 50 years, being last given in Caracas in 1981. This performance has been recorded and issued both on LP and CD. Roles Most of these singers were quite well known at the time, especially Carlo Negrini who was one of Italy's leading tenors and had created the role of Gabriele Adorno in Verdi's ''Simon Boccanegra'' a year earlier. Jonê County (also ''Cone'', ''Chone'', ''Choni''; ; local pronunciation: /tɕɔLn ) is an administrative district in the Gannan Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, Gansu Province, China. It is one of 58 counties of Gansu. It is part of the Gannan Prefecture. Its postal code is 747600. Its area is , and its population is over 100,000 people. Jone da Silva Pinto (born 13 November 1991), commonly known as Jone or Pinto is a Brazilian footballer who plays as a centre forward. Career He began his career from the youth team of Brasil de Pelotas, and in 2012 was given on loan to Atlético Farroupilha. He has also played in Sun Pegasus, in the Hong Kong Premier League and for Ethnikos Achna, in the Cypriot First Division. On 15 January 2015, he was given on loan to AE Larissa till the end of the season 2014-15. Pinto moved to Super League 2 side PAS Lamia and secured 34 appearances and scored 10 goals for the side in 2015-2016 season.
