Jonathon Robran
Jonathon Robran (born 21 October 1972) is a former Australian rules footballer who played with Hawthorn and Essendon in the Australian Football League (AFL). Robran was mostly a key position defender during his league career but could also play as a ruckman. He is the son of South Australian football great Barrie Robran and the younger brother of Adelaide player Matthew Robran. Although he was selected in the 1992 AFL draft, with Hawthorn's first pick and 11th overall, Robran didn't play an AFL games until 1995. He suffered from shoulder problems in 1996 but didn't miss a single games in the 1997 AFL season and continued to be a regular fixture in the team over the next two years. Promising young key defenders, Trent Croad and Jonathan Hay, were making it difficult for Robran to claim a spot down back and in 1999 he was traded to Essendon. Norwood Football Club
Norwood Football Club, nicknamed the Redlegs, is an Australian rules football club competing in the South Australian National Football League (SANFL) in the state of South Australia. Its home ground is Coopers Stadium (Norwood Oval), which is often referred to as "The Parade". David Hille
David Hille (born 2 June 1981) is a former Australian rules footballer with the Essendon Football Club. Early life In his senior year at high school, Hille and seven other schoolmates from Peninsula Grammar lodged themselves into a station wagon and crashed it 500m up the road from where they took off in South Frankston. Three of the boys in the car were killed, and the other three seriously injured, but Hille was not injured. The accident report claims that Hille was wearing his seatbelt, which is why he has appeared on commercials about buckling up when driving. Dustin Fletcher
Dustin Fletcher (born 7 May 1975) is a former professional Australian rules footballer who played his entire 23-season career for the Essendon Football Club in the Australian Football League (AFL). He is widely acknowledged as one of the finest defenders in the history of the league. AFL career Fletcher was recruited by the Essendon Football Club in the 1992 National Draft. He played his first senior game against Carlton in his senior year of high school at Penleigh and Essendon Grammar School. He was a key member of the 1993 premiership team in his first AFL season, a team which is often referred to as the " Baby Bombers". The 2000 AFL season was the 104th season of the Australian Football League (AFL), the highest level senior Australian rules football competition in Australia, which was known as the Victorian Football League until 1989. The season featured sixteen clubs. It ran from 8 March until 2 September, scheduled as the earliest season in history to avoid a clash with the 2000 Summer Olympics in Sydney. The season comprised a 22-game home-and-away season followed by a finals series featuring the top eight clubs. Chance Bateman
Chance Bateman (born 21 June 1981) is an Australian rules football coach and former player who played for the Hawthorn Football Club in the Australian Football League. Bateman was Hawthorn's first indigenous player to reach 100 games, first Aboriginal life member, and the club's longest-serving WA recruit. He was a development coach at the West Coast Eagles until the end of the 2020 season. Early career Bateman learnt his football during his formative years in York and then with Perth in Westar Rules. Tim Clarke (born 2 April 1982) is a former professional Australian rules footballer who played for the Hawthorn Football Club in the Australian Football League (AFL). Andrew Ukovic
Andrew Ukovic (born 23 November 1978) is a former Australian rules footballer who played with Essendon and Collingwood in the Australian Football League (AFL). Ukovic was from West Coburg, but drafted from the Northern Knights of the TAC Cup. He played with the Essendon reserves for a year and then broke into the seniors, at the age of 18, in the 1997 AFL season. In round 16, 1999, Ukovic would claim three Brownlow votes for his performance against Essendon's premiership rivals Carlton but two rounds later injured his knee and missed the finals series.
