Jonathan Russell
Jonathan Russell (February 27, 1771 – February 17, 1832) was a United States representative from Massachusetts and diplomat. He served the 11th congressional district from 1821 to 1823 and was the first chair of the House Committee on Foreign Affairs. Early life Jonathan Russell was born in Providence, Rhode Island on February 27, 1771, the son of Jonathan and Abigail (Russell) Russell. He attended the local schools and graduated from Rhode Island College (now Brown University) with a Bachelor of Arts in 1791 and a Master of Arts in 1794. He studied law and was admitted to the bar, but did not practice. He engaged in the mercantile business in partnership with Otis Ammidon, importing goods from Europe for sale in America. In 1801 he was appointed U.S. Collector of Customs for the Port of Bristol. Jonathan Russell (born 1979) is an American composer of classical music, clarinetist, and bass clarinetist. Russell was the founder of the Switchboard Music Festival, which will hold its 10th anniversary in the summer of 2018. His primary teachers have included Paul Lansky, Barbara White, Steve Mackey, Elinor Armer, and Eric Ewazen. Career Composer Russell has been commissioned by, worked with, and written for ensembles including the San Francisco Symphony, Prism Quartet, Symphony Number One, Empyrian Ensemble, Wild Rumpus, Woodstock Chamber Orchestra, and the JACK Quartet. Jonathan "Jazz" Russell
Jonathan "Jazz" Russell (born April 27, 1995) is an American jazz violinist, composer, and producer from New York City. He began playing in New York City nightclubs at the age of seven, with traditional or dixieland jazz ensembles. At the age of nine he performed at the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival. In 2005 he won "Best Improv" for string players under the age of 13 in the American String Teachers Association's Alternative Styles competition. In 2008 during a tour of Hungary, he was given the Ambassador's Award for Music Diplomacy by the U.S. Embassy in Hungary. In July 2009, he was awarded one of the Daniel Pearl Memorial Violins by Mark O'Connor and the faculty at the inaugural O'Connor Fiddle Camp in New York City. Elections were held on November 2, 2010, to determine Washington's nine members of the United States House of Representatives. Representatives were elected for two-year terms to serve in the 112th Congress from January 3, 2011, until January 3, 2013. Nonpartisan blanket primary elections were held on August 17, 2010. Of the nine elections, the races in the 2nd, 3rd and 8th districts were rated as competitive by ''CQ Politics'', ''The Rothenberg Political Report'' and ''Sabato's Crystal Ball'', while ''The Cook Political Report'' rated the 2nd, 3rd, 8th and 9th districts as competitive. Every incumbent was re-elected, with the exception of Democrat Brian Baird, the U.S. representative for Washington's 3rd congressional district, who retired rather than seeking re-election. Jonathan Edward Russell (born 9 October 2000) is a professional footballer who plays for Barnsley, as a midfielder. Born in England, he represents Jamaica at international level. Club career Born in Hounslow, Russell joined Chelsea at under-7 level. He turned professional in October 2017. He moved on loan to Accrington Stanley in October 2020.
