Jonathan Randolph
Jonathan Randolph (born August 10, 1988) is an American professional golfer. Randolph was an All-American at the University of Mississippi. After turning pro in 2011, he played on the NGA Pro Golf Tour until earning a 2014 Web.com Tour card through Q School. He had four top-five finishes on the Web.com Tour in 2014 and finished 16th on the regular-season money list, earning a PGA Tour card for 2015. In May 2014, he came in second at the Web.com Tour's BMW Charity Pro-Am, to fellow rookie Max Homa by one stroke. During his rookie PGA Tour season, he had only one top-25 finish in 25 events and missed 14 cuts. He finished 179th in FedEx Cup points and failed to regain his card at the Web.com Tour Finals. Brandon, Mississippi
Brandon is a city in and the county seat of Rankin County, Mississippi, United States. It was incorporated on December 19, 1831. The population was 21,705 at the 2010 census. Brandon is part of the Jackson Metropolitan Statistical Area, and is located east of the state capital. History The city is named for Gerard Brandon, Governor of Mississippi during the early 1800s. 2010 Palmer Cup
The 2010 Palmer Cup was held on 24–26 June 2010 at the Royal Portrush Golf Club in Portrush, County Antrim, Northern Ireland. The United States won 13–11. Format The format was revised with play being over three days rather than two. On Thursday, there were four matches of four-ball in the morning, followed by four foursomes matches in the afternoon. Eight singles matches were played on Friday, and eight more on Saturday. In all, 24 matches were played. Each of the 24 matches was worth one point in the larger team competition. If a match was all square after the 18th hole, each side earned half a point toward their team total. The team that accumulated at least 12½ points won the competition. Palmer Cup
The Arnold Palmer Cup is an annual team golf competition for college/university golfers. From 2018 it has been contested between a United States team and an International team representing the rest of the world. The teams consist of 12 men and 12 women. The teams are selected on the basis of nationality, not according to the location of the players' universities. The 2023 event will be held from June 10 to 12 at Laurel Valley Golf Club, near Ligonier, Pennsylvania. History From its foundation in 1997 until 2017 the event was only contested by men. From 1997 until 2002 the United States played Great Britain & Ireland while from 2003 to 2017 the United States played a European team.
