Jonathan Moore (athlete)
Jonathan Moore (born 31 May 1984) is an English athlete who specialises in the triple jump and long jump events. Competing in the triple jump event in 2001, he won gold at the 2001 World Youth Championships in Athletics, World Youth Championships and silver at 2001 European Athletics Junior Championships, the European Junior Championships. A former holder of the British Junior long jump record, he is the son of Commonwealth Games triple jump medallist Aston Moore. Athletics career Born in Sutton Coldfield, Birmingham, Jonathan Moore began practising triple jump at the age of thirteen. His first medal came at the English Schools' event in 1999 and he won gold at the same event in 2000. In 2000 he also won the U17 Championships in both events and the Schools' International and Commonwealth Youth Games in the triple jump. Birchfield Harriers
Birchfield Harriers is an athletics club, founded in 1877. Its home is at Birmingham's Alexander Stadium, England. As well as welcoming recreational runners they cater for all levels of experience up to and including Olympic athletes whether able-bodied or wheelchair-using athletes. The triple jump, sometimes referred to as the hop, step and jump or the hop, skip and jump, is a track and field event, similar to the long jump. Long Jump
The long jump is a track and field event in which athletes combine speed, strength and agility in an attempt to leap as far as possible from a takeoff point. Along with the triple jump, the two events that measure jumping for distance as a group are referred to as the "horizontal jumps". The 400 metres, or 400-meter dash, is a sprint event in track and field competitions. It has been featured in the athletics (sport), athletics programme at the Summer Olympics since 1896 for men and since 1964 for women. Christopher Clarke (born 25 January 1990) is an English elite athlete sprinter who has often represented Great Britain and Northern Ireland.
