Jonathan Kaye
Jonathan Andrew Kaye (born August 2, 1970) is an American professional golfer who played on the PGA Tour. Biography Kaye was born in Denver, Colorado, and is Jewish. He attended Sunnyslope High School in Phoenix, Arizona, where he was a star in golf, graduating in 1988. He graduated from the University of Colorado in 1993 and turned pro that same year. He began playing on the PGA Tour in 1995 after successfully competing in qualifying school. Kaye has won twice on the PGA Tour, at the 2003 Buick Classic and the 2004 FBR Open, and he has over 30 top-10 finishes. He is a self-taught player who has never had a teacher. "There's nobody who could teach my swing," he has said. Kaye has featured in the top 20 of the Official World Golf Ranking, though he has not played a PGA Tour event since 2011. Tim Finchem
Timothy W. Finchem (born April 19, 1947) is an American lawyer and retired golf administrator, who served as commissioner of golf's PGA Tour from 1994 to 2016. He served in the White House for two years during the administration of President Jimmy Carter, from 1978 to 1979. He was inducted into the World Golf Hall of Fame in 2021. Early life and education Finchem was born in Ottawa, Illinois. He graduated from Princess Anne High School in Virginia Beach, Virginia. He attended the University of Richmond on a debate scholarship, receiving his Bachelor of Arts degree in 1969. While at Richmond, Finchem was a member of the Phi Gamma Delta Rho Chi chapter. The PGA Championship (often referred to as the US PGA Championship or USPGA outside the United States) is an annual golf tournament conducted by the Professional Golfers' Association of America. The Open Championship
The Open Championship, often referred to as The Open or the British Open, is the oldest golf tournament in the world, and one of the most prestigious. Masters Tournament
The Masters Tournament (usually referred to as simply The Masters, or the U.S. Masters outside North America) is one of the four major championships in professional golf. Scheduled for the first full week of April, the Masters is the first major of the year, and unlike the others, it is always held at the same location, Augusta National Golf Club, a private course in the city of Augusta, Georgia, in the southeastern United States. The Masters was started by amateur champion Bobby Jones and investment banker Clifford Roberts. Chris Riley (golfer)
Chris J. Riley (born December 8, 1973) is an American professional golfer and coach. Riley was born in San Diego, California. He attended the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, where he became the first four-year All-American in any sport. In 1995 he played for the United States in the Walker Cup. Riley turned professional in 1996 and spent time on the Nationwide Tour. He became a member of the PGA Tour in 1999 and made the top thirty on the money list in 2002 and 2003. His sole PGA Tour victory came at the 2002 Reno-Tahoe Open. He was a member of the losing 2004 United States Ryder Cup team and also played on a winning American team in that year's Tommy Bahama Challenge, which is an international match for pros aged 30 and under. Reno–Tahoe Open
The Barracuda Championship is a professional golf tournament on the PGA Tour in California. Founded in 1999, it is an alternate event played annually in August. Previously played at Montrêux Golf and Country Club outside Reno, Nevada, the tournament moved to Tahoe Mountain Club's Old Greenwood course, located in nearby Truckee, California, in 2020. Until 2010, the tournament was played in August, the same week as the WGC-Bridgestone Invitational. For its first three years, it had a full field of 156 players, while the World Golf Championship event had a field of about 40. When the WGC event expanded to about 80 players in 2002, the field for the Reno–Tahoe Open was reduced to 132 players. With the launch of the FedEx Cup in 2007, the tournament and the WGC event were moved from late to early August.
