Jonathan Goodwin (escapologist)
Jonathan Goodwin (born 20 February 1980) is a retired escapologist and daredevil. Early life Goodwin was born in Haverfordwest, Pembrokeshire, Wales, and grew up in Robeston Wathen. He attended the since-closed Tasker Milward Voluntary Controlled School in Haverfordwest. Career He first appeared on Channel 4 TV programme ''Dirty Tricks'' and has subsequently appeared in TV specials '' The Seven Stupidest Things to Escape From'', and ''Deathwish Live'' as well as Discovery Channel's '' One Way Out'' and ''How Not to Become Shark Bait'' in which he allowed himself to be attacked by a Caribbean reef shark. Goodwin returned to Discovery Channel in 2009 for a ten-part series of ''One Way Out'' which also starred engineer Terry Stroud. He also appeared in an episode of the Channel 4 programme '' Balls of Steel'', with his father helping him with a stunt. Haverfordwest
Haverfordwest (, ; cy, Hwlffordd ) is the county town of Pembrokeshire, Wales, and the most populous urban area in Pembrokeshire with a population of 14,596 in 2011. It is also a community, being the second most populous community in the county, with 12,042 people, after Milford Haven. Spinal Cord Injury
A spinal cord injury (SCI) is damage to the spinal cord that causes temporary or permanent changes in its function. Symptoms may include loss of muscle function, sensation, or autonomic function in the parts of the body served by the spinal cord below the level of the injury. Injury can occur at any level of the spinal cord and can be ''complete'', with a total loss of sensation and muscle function at lower sacral segments, or ''incomplete'', meaning some nervous signals are able to travel past the injured area of the cord up to the Sacral S4-5 spinal cord segments. Burn
A burn is an injury to skin, or other tissues, caused by heat, cold, electricity, chemicals, friction, or ultraviolet radiation (like sunburn). Straitjacket
A straitjacket is a garment shaped like a jacket with long sleeves that surpass the tips of the wearer's fingers. Its most typical use is restraining people who may cause harm to themselves or others.
