Jonathan Cohen (television Executive)
Jonathan Cohen is an American journalist, author, and television executive. He served as the talent executive for music at NBC's ''The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon'' from the launch of the show until February 2015, and held the same role during Fallon's 2009-2014 run as the host of ''Late Night with Jimmy Fallon.'' Cohen was noted for booking a mix of superstars, rare performances from long-dormant acts, and developing artists. Cohen, previously a writer and editor at ''Billboard,'' is the author of the book ''Pearl Jam 20,'' the print accompaniment to Cameron Crowe's 2011 documentary. ''Pearl Jam Twenty'' (also known as PJ20) is a 2011 American documentary directed by Cameron Crowe about the band Pearl Jam. Preliminary footage was being shot as of June 2010. Crowe completed filming in April 2011, after using 12,000 hours of footage of the band for the documentary. The film premiered at the 2011 Toronto International Film Festival and also had an accompanying book and soundtrack. The documentary charts the history of the band, from the demise of Mother Love Bone, their battle against Ticketmaster and the tragedy of the Roskilde Festival in 2000. The film was presented theatrically at select cinemas in the US during the month of September 2011, and premiered on October 21, 2011, on PBS' ''American Masters.'' Cameron Bruce Crowe (born July 13, 1957) is an American journalist, author, writer, producer, director, actor, lyricist, and playwright. Before moving into the film industry, Crowe was a contributing editor at ''Rolling Stone'' magazine, for which he still frequently writes. Joseph Arthur (born September 28, 1971) is an American singer-songwriter and artist from Akron, Ohio. He is best known for his solo material, and as a member of Fistful of Mercy and RNDM. Arthur has built his reputation over the years through critically acclaimed releases and constant touring; his unique solo live performances often incorporate the use of a number of distortion and loop pedals, and his shows are recorded live at the soundboard and made available to concertgoers immediately following the show on recordable media.
