Jonathan Borrajo
Jonathan Borrajo (born June 2, 1987) is a former American soccer player. Career Youth and College Borrajo was born and raised in Clifton, New Jersey and attended Clifton High School, where he was named his team's Best Defender and MVP. He finished his high school career with 109 points (29 goals and 51 assists), and was named to the All-State and All-County teams as a junior and senior. Borrajo played four years of college soccer at George Mason University, where he was named to the All-CAA and All-CAA Tournament team as a senior in 2008. He received the Fred Thompson MVP in 2007 and the Dennis Hamlet Defensive Player of the Year in 2007 and 2008, as well as captaining the team his sophomore thru senior years and leading them to a CAA Championship and an NCAA final tournament appearance in his last season. The USL Second Division (commonly referred to as USL-2) was a professional men's soccer league in the United States, operated by United Soccer Leagues (USL). 2017 NASL Season
The 2017 North American Soccer League season was the 50th season of Division II soccer in the United States and Canada, and the 7th season of the modern North American Soccer League. The defending champions are the New York Cosmos who defeated Indy Eleven in Soccer Bowl 2016. Eight clubs played in the NASL after provisional sanctioning by the United States Soccer Federation. Expansion side, San Francisco Deltas joined the league. After the 2016 season, Minnesota United left the league to join Major League Soccer, and the Tampa Bay Rowdies and Ottawa Fury left the league to join the United Soccer League. The Carolina RailHawks FC rebranded as North Carolina FC. The Fort Lauderdale Strikers and Rayo OKC did not return to NASL for the 2017 season. 2014 NASL Season
The 2014 North American Soccer League season was the 47th season of Division II soccer in the United States and the fourth season of the revived North American Soccer League. It was contested by ten teams including two from Canada. Joining the NASL in the Spring of 2014 were two new franchises, Indy Eleven and Ottawa Fury FC; originally Virginia Cavalry FC were to begin play this season but now plan to join in the 2016 season. The defending Soccer Bowl champions are the New York Cosmos, while the Carolina Railhawks are the defending North American Supporters' Trophy winners. The 2010 2. divisjon season was the men's third-tier football competition in Norway. 26 games were played in 4 groups, with 3 points given for wins and 1 for draws. HamKam, Notodden, Stavanger and Skeid were relegated from the 2009 Norwegian First Division. Asker, Hødd, Randaberg and HamKam were promoted to the 2011 1. divisjon. North American Soccer League (2011–2017)
The North American Soccer League (NASL) was a professional men's soccer league based in the United States. The league was named for, but had no connection to, the original North American Soccer League. The later NASL was founded in 2009, and began play in 2011 with eight teams. From 2013 through 2017, the NASL used a split-season schedule running from April to early November, with a four-week break in July. The spring and fall champions, along with the two teams with best combined spring/fall records met in a four-team single-elimination tournament known as ''The Championship''. The winner of the final claimed the Soccer Bowl trophy.
