Jonathan Benteke Lifeka (born 28 April 1995) is a Belgian association football, footballer who plays as a Striker (association football), forward for American club Loudoun United FC. Career Early career Benteke played youth football for JS Pierreuse before moving to the higher level Standard Liège in 2006 where he stayed for a season before moving to C.S. Visé, Visé's youth side. In 2009, he moved back to Standard where he played for four seasons in their youth teams without appearing for the first team. On his release from Standard, he rejoined Visé, where he made his professional first team appearance and was at the time playing in the Belgian Second Division. While at C.S. Alan Scott Pardew (born 18 July 1961) is an English football manager and former professional footballer, who is the current manager of Greek Super League club Aris. Pardew's highest achievements in the sport include reaching the FA Cup Final three times: as a player with Crystal Palace in 1990 and as a manager with West Ham United in 2006 and in 2016 when his Crystal Palace side lost to Manchester United. The 2015–16 season of the Belgian Pro League (also known as ''Jupiler Pro League'' for sponsorship reasons) was the 113th season of top-tier football in Belgium. It started in the last week of July 2015 and finished in May 2016. Gent were the defending champions. This was the last season under the "Pro League" name; a reorganisation of the Belgian professional leagues followed the season, with the top league to be known from 2016–17 forward as "First Division A". The Belgian Pro League,(officially the Jupiler Pro League due to sponsorship reasons with Jupiler), is the top league competition for association football clubs in Belgium. Contested by 18 clubs since the 2020–21 season and reduced to 16 teams from the 2023–24 season onwards, it operates on a system of promotion and relegation with the Challenger Pro League. The Belgian Second Division (known as the Proximus League for sponsorship reasons) was the second-highest division in the Belgian football league system, one level below the Belgian Pro League. It was founded by the Royal Belgian Football Association in 1909 and folded in 2016, when it was replaced by the Belgian First Division B.
