Jonas Pierre
Jonas Farley Pierre (born May 30, 1980) is an American professional basketball player. A center, he has played with three teams in the National Basketball League of Canada (NBL). Pierre last played with the Saint John Mill Rats in Canada. Collegiate career Pierre started played college basketball with Long Beach City College in Long Beach, California and transferred to Western Nebraska Community College for his sophomore season. He then joined Lincoln University in Missouri for his third year. In the summer of 2003, he signed a letter of intent to play with Nicholls State in the NCAA Division I. However, he returned to Lincoln the following season. Professional career Pierre joined the Quebec Kebs and played in the Premier Basketball League (PBL) for the 2008–2009 season. The center (C), or the centre, also known as the five or the pivot, is one of the five Basketball position, positions in a regulation basketball game. The center is normally the tallest player on the team, and often has a great deal of strength and body mass as well. In the NBA, the center is typically close to tall. Island Storm
The Island Storm is an inactive Canadian professional basketball team based in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island. The team is a charter member of the National Basketball League of Canada that began play in the 2011–12 season. The Storm plays its home games at the Eastlink Centre. The Windsor Express is a Canadian professional basketball team based in Windsor, Ontario, Canada. The Express are an expansion team of the National Basketball League of Canada that began play in the 2012–13 season. The Express play its home games at the WFCU Centre. The Edmonton Energy is a professional basketball team in the International Basketball League, formerly known as the Edmonton Chill. The Chill name was revoked in August 2008, after allegations of misconduct were filed with the league regarding Troy Barns, the majority shareholder in the team. Bellingham Slam
The Bellingham Slam are a semi-professional basketball team that formerly competed for seven seasons in the International Basketball League. Before joining the IBL, they played two seasons in the American Basketball Association. They were originally expected to play in Everett, Washington, but were relocated to Bellingham, Washington under the ownership of John Dominguez. The International Basketball League (IBL) was a semi-professional men's basketball league featuring teams from the West Coast of the United States. In 2010 the Albany Legends became the first team in the Northeastern United States to join. Al Stewart (born September 5, 1983) is an American professional basketball player for the Moncton Magic of the National Basketball League of Canada (NBL). High school career Stewart attended Manley Academy in Chicago, Illinois, where he played basketball under head coach Bo Delaney. He was a teammate of future NBA player Luther Head. His playing time increased after Head left the team. Stewart was known for being a strong ball-handler and became Manley's top point guard heading into his senior season.
