Jon Vezner
Jon Vezner (born June 6, 1951) is an American country music songwriter. He is best known for his work with Kathy Mattea, to whom he has been married since 1988. Vezner began working as a songwriter in Minnesota and later moved to Nashville, Tennessee. He set up a publishing company underneath the apartment in which Mattea lived, and befriended her after jump-starting her car. They began dating in 1986, and married on February 14, 1988. Vezner wrote several of Mattea's songs, including "Where've You Been", "A Few Good Things Remain", "Time Passes By", and " Whole Lotta Holes". He also wrote " Then What?" for Clay Walker, " If I Didn't Love You" by Steve Wariner, and " You're Gone" by Diamond Rio. He performs with Don Henry as The Don Juans; they accompanied Tom Paxton Thomas Richard Paxton (born October 31, 1937) is an American folk singer-songwriter who has had a music career spanning more than fifty years. Don Henry (born December 30, 1959, in San Jose, California, San Jose, California) is an American country music singer and songwriter. His career took off when the Kathy Mattea single "Where've You Been", which he co-wrote with Jon Vezner, won numerous awards in 1990 and 1991. These included the "song of the year" award at the 25th annual Academy of Country Music Awards in 1990, and a Grammy Award for Best Country Song at the 33rd Annual Grammy Awards. He went on to team up with Vezner to write another song, "Whole Lotta Holes", which was also later recorded by Kathy Mattea and released as a single. In 1991, he released his first solo album, ''Wild in the Backyard'', which was engineered and produced by Ray Kennedy (country singer), Ray Kennedy. Diamond Rio is an American country music band. The band was founded in 1982 as an attraction for the Opryland USA theme park in Nashville, Tennessee, and was originally known as the Grizzly River Boys, then the Tennessee River Boys. It was founded by Matt Davenport, Danny Gregg, and Ty Herndon, the last of whom became a solo artist in the mid-1990s. Steven Noel Wariner (born December 25, 1954) is an American country music singer, songwriter, and guitarist. Initially a backing musician for Dottie West, he also worked with Bob Luman and Chet Atkins before beginning a solo career in the late 1970s. He has released eighteen studio albums and over fifty singles for several different record labels. Wariner experienced his greatest chart successes in the 1980s, recording first for RCA Records Nashville and then MCA Nashville. Ernest Clayton Walker Jr. (born August 19, 1969) is an American country music artist.
