Jon Shortridge
Sir Jon Deacon Shortridge KCB (born 10 April 1947) is a British civil servant. He served as the Permanent Secretary of the Welsh Office in March 1999 and of the National Assembly for Wales on its creation in May 1999. He became Permanent Secretary of the Welsh Assembly Government on its establishment as a separate institution in May 2007, and left the post at the end of April 2008. In 2009, he was brought back as interim Permanent Secretary of the Department for Innovation, Universities and Skills. Early life and education Shortridge was born in Chichester, Sussex, the son of Eric Creber Deacon Shortridge and Audrey Joan Hunt. He was educated at Chichester High School For Boys and has a degree (MA) in Philosophy, Politics and Economics from St Edmund Hall a college of Oxford University, and in Urban Design and Regional Planning (MSc) from the University of Edinburgh. Knight Commander Of The Order Of The Bath
The Most Honourable Order of the Bath is a British order of chivalry founded by George I of Great Britain, George I on 18 May 1725. The name derives from the elaborate medieval ceremony for appointing a knight, which involved Bathing#Medieval and early-modern Europe, bathing (as a symbol of purification) as one of its elements. Peter Walker, Baron Walker Of Worcester
Peter Edward Walker, Baron Walker of Worcester, (25 March 1932 – 23 June 2010) was a British Conservative politician who served in Cabinet under Edward Heath and Margaret Thatcher. He was Member of Parliament (MP) for Worcester from 1961 to 1992 and was made a life peer in 1992. Walker became the youngest National Chairman of the Young Conservatives in 1958. He was a founder of the Tory Reform Group, and served as Chairman of the Carlton Club. Ian Charles Watmore (born 5 July 1958) is a British management consultant and former senior civil servant under three prime ministers, serving from October 2016 as the First Civil Service Commissioner. Janis Rachel Lomax (born 15 July 1945) is a British economist, banker, and former government official who served as Deputy Governor of the Bank of England, sitting on the Monetary Policy Committee from 1 July 2003 to 30 June 2008.
