Jon Kay
Jonathan Francis Kay (born 8 November 1969 in Hull, East Riding of Yorkshire) is an English television presenter, newsreader, and journalist based in the West of England known for his work on BBC News. Early life Kay was born on 8 November 1969 and grew up in Cheshire, attending Abbey Gate College, an independent school in Chester. From the age of 18 he studied at the University of Exeter in Devon. During his studies there, he "mucked around" in the studios of University Radio Exeter, which led to his decision to pursue a career in broadcast journalism. After graduation with a BA degree in Politics in 1992, he joined the BBC as a trainee local reporter. Journalism career After periods at BBC local radio stations, Kay became a full-time reporter for BBC Radio Bristol, making an early documentary on the development of Bradley Stoke. Kingston upon Hull, usually abbreviated to Hull, is a port city and unitary authority in the East Riding of Yorkshire, England. The 2015 United Kingdom general election was held on Thursday, 7 May 2015 to elect 650 members to the House of Commons. It was the first and only general election held at the end of a Parliament under the Fixed-term Parliaments Act 2011. Local elections took place in most areas on the same day. Polls and commentators had predicted the outcome would be too close to call and would result in a second consecutive hung parliament whose composition would be either similar to or more complicated than the 2010 general election. The ''BBC News at Six'' is the evening news programme bulletin from the BBC. Produced by BBC News, the programme is broadcast on the BBC News (TV channel), BBC News channel and on British television channel BBC One on weekdays at 6:00pm. Anni Ninna Dewani ( Hindocha; 12 March 1982 – 13 November 2010) was a Swedish woman of Indian origin who was murdered while on her honeymoon in South Africa after the taxi in which she and her husband Shrien Dewani were traveling was hijacked.
