Jon Johnson
Jon Johnson, MPSE (born October 16, 1954) is an American sound editor of television and feature film. He won the Academy Award for Best Sound Editing for his work on the World War II submarine epic '' U-571'' (2000). Career Johnson has been a leading figure in sound editing for many years. His career began with work as a sound effects editor on animated programs such as ''The New Scooby and Scrappy-Doo Show'' and '' Super Friends: The Legendary Super Powers Show'', among others. His foray into feature film came with the horror film documentary ''Terror in the Aisles'' (1984). Another milestone, his first supervising sound editor role, came two years later on the ''Return to Mayberry'' (1986) reunion special. Johnson's work in mainstream cinema took off with the popular science fiction films ''Star Trek Generations'' (1994) and '' Independence Day'' (1996). Sheridan, Wyoming
Sheridan is a town in the U.S. state of Wyoming and the county seat of Sheridan County. The town is located halfway between Yellowstone Park and Mount Rushmore by U.S. Route 14 and 16. It is the principal town of the Sheridan, Wyoming, Micropolitan Statistical Area which encompasses all of Sheridan County. The 2010 census put the town's population at 17,444 and the Sheridan, Wyoming, Micropolitan Statistical Area at 29,116, making it the 421st-most populous micropolitan area in the United States. Amazing Grace (2006 Film)
''Amazing Grace'' is a 2006 British-American biographical drama film directed by Michael Apted, about the campaign against the slave trade in the British Empire, led by William Wilberforce, who was responsible for steering anti-slave trade legislation through the British parliament. The title is a reference to the 1772 hymn "Amazing Grace". The film also recounts the experiences of John Newton as a crewman on a slave ship and subsequent religious conversion, which inspired his writing of the poem later used in the hymn. Newton is portrayed as a major influence on Wilberforce and the abolition movement.
