Jon Gries
Jonathan Gries ( '; born June 17, 1957) is an American actor, writer, and director. He is best known for the role of Uncle Rico in '' Napoleon Dynamite '' for which he was nominated for the Independent Spirit Award for Best Supporting Male, and also as recurring characters Roger Linus on ''Lost'' and Rusty the Bum on ''Seinfeld''. He is also known for his roles in ''Martin'', '' The Pretender'', ''The Monster Squad'', '' Running Scared'', ''Real Genius'', ''Dream Corp LLC'', and ''The White Lotus''. Life and career Gries is the son of writer, director, and producer Tom Gries. His first film role came at the age of 11, when he played the Boy Horace in the Charlton Heston film ''Will Penny'', which was written and directed by his father. The ''Wausau Daily Herald'' is a daily morning broadsheet printed in Wausau, Wisconsin. It is the primary newspaper in Wausau and is distributed throughout Marathon and Lincoln counties. The ''Daily Herald'' is owned by the Gannett Company, which owns ten other newspapers in Wisconsin. The newspaper also runs a website where people can pay to read the news. History The paper traces its roots to a paper established as the ''Torch of Liberty'' in 1875. After a series of mergers and renamings, it eventually became known as the ''Wausau Daily Record-Herald'' in 1907, with the first edition being printed on 2 December of that year. ''Rainbow Drive'' is a 1990 American made-for-television thriller film directed by Bobby Roth and starring Peter Weller, Sela Ward and David Caruso. The film first aired on September 8, 1990, on the Showtime Cable Network. It is based on the 1986 novel of the same name by Roderick Thorp.
